Everybody has a day job and goes to schop for his/her higher learning. But there are so many things that people take for granted because of the time constraint. One of them is the organization of one’s daily activities. As a staff member of Google, I have found a way to organize my tasks and notes while still doing my daily tasks at work. To be more specific, I will talk about Google Tasks and PDFMonkey.
Google Tasks is a simple and easy to use task management application released by Google in 2008. It allows users to create lists of tasks, which can be shared with other users using Gmail, or through embedded links in Google Docs, Calendar, etc. It also has an option to send reminder emails to tasks that are not yet done. Google Tasks is integrated to Gmail, being automatically downloaded when one creates his/her Gmail account. Although it allows creating checkboxes on the task list, its main purpose is to be used as a task manager and not as a project management top. Along with the free Google Tasks application, it also allows integration with Google Calendar, so that you can easily create and manage your time schedule.
PDFMonkey is an open source online PDF editor launched in 2007, allowing users to edit pdf files online. It supports adding text, images, tables, shapes and more to our pdf files. Once we are ready to download the edited file, it allows us to choose the output format it should be saved as. PDFMonkey is available as an extension for Google Chrome. In order to make it work on Chrome, users must visit the link http://www.pdfmonkey.net/download-pdfmonkey/ and click on the “Add To Chrome” button.
Integration of Google Tasks with PDFMonkey allows all users to save their tasks into pdf files and share it with others who do not use Google Tasks. PDFMonkey makes it possible to edit pdf files online in a very simple and easy way. And with integration, Google Tasks will also allow users to send links of the pdf file containing their tasks as reminders for their tasks. This would allow all users to save their time in printing out task lists, and just focus on completing their actions instead of organizing where they need to put the paper lists. PDFMonkey will also save time for non-Google Tasks users since they do not need to install anything or register in order to be able to edit their pdf files online. This is an advantage since they can just focus on editing while they do not need to worry about registration or installation problems.
