  • AerisWeather?
  • AerisWeather is a weather app that uses live weather data from NOAA to provide accurate weather information. It has many features such as weather alerts, temperature graphs, wind graphs, and more. It provides this information in an easy-to-understand format. AerisWeather also provides a free API for developers, so they can integrate weather data into their apps or websites.

The AerisWeather API provides access to weather data in JSON format. The API allows for access to the current conditions, forecasts, and historical data. It also provides access to severe weather warnings and observations. The API key is required to access the data. The integration of Google Sheets and AerisWeather was simple because of the similar formats of the two programs. • Integration of Google Sheets and AerisWeather
    • Create an account with AerisWeather.
    • Create a new spreadsheet in Google Sheets. Copy the fplowing text into the first row of the spreadsheet:

    =IMPORTXML("https://api.aerisweather.com/forecastrss?key=YOUR_API_KEY_HERE&format=xml&q=London,uk")

    • Replace YOUR_API_KEY_HERE with your personal API key from AerisWeather. This step is important if you want to access the data you are importing on the website.
    • Add values for lat and lon of the location you want to get weather data for. You can use any location in the world, including other countries and cities. Leave blank if you want to find all locations near your latitude and longitude that begin with the letters of your search term. For example, if you want to find all locations near your latitude and longitude that begin with “London”, leave lat and lon blank and type London in the search box at https://api.aerisweather.com/search/. Be sure to put quotes around your search term.
    • Change the ticker symbp to what you want to see in your spreadsheet. If you want to see different information than what is already available in the drop-down box, change ticker to true (so it will return all available tickers.
    • Change format to json if you want data in JSON format instead of XML format. This will work if you are using another program that supports JSON format (such as Excel. If you are only using Google Sheets, change format to xml .
