Google photos is an online storage service created by Google that allows users to backup and store their images. This service allows users to store unlimited amount of photos for free, and provides users with the ability to search through saved images. Google Photos can also be used in conjunction with other services that Google offers. In this paper I will talk about how Google Photos integrates with SendGrid to provide better functionality.
Sendgrid is a cloud-based email infrastructure company that provides developers and businesses with a platform for sending emails. The Sendgrid API allows developers to integrate sending emails with their applications, websites or platforms. Sendgrid has over 150,000 customers and the API is used by companies such as Yelp, Home Depot, Twitter and others. The company was founded in 2009 by Isaac Saldana, who remains CEO of the firm.
In 2015, Google began integrating Google Photos with SendGrid. This allowed Google users to automatically have their photos added to a newsletter that included a link to the photo. This integration made it possible for users of SendGrid to add photos to their emails without having to upload them to the SendGrid platform. Before this integration, users had to manually upload the files to the SendGrid platform. It was made possible after Google and SendGrid partnered together. This integration works by using the Google Drive API which is a part of the Google Cloud Platform. The integration works by pulling a user’s Drive directory into a SendGrid account, where it can be managed and sent out via email. After the integration, users were able to have a fpder in their Drive account named “Google Photos” which contained all photos on their account. Then, whenever a user wishes to send out an email with pictures attached, they could select the photos they wish to attach from that fpder instead of uploading them to SendGrid as previously done. This integration made it possible for users of both companies to benefit from each other’s services. By partnering with Google, SendGrid was able to reach a larger audience and more people could profit from using their service. Furthermore, this partnership opened new opportunities for marketing by allowing enterprises to build their own custom templates for automated messages based on photos attached. This integration helps companies enhance their operations by improving efficiency and lowering costs.
This integration has many benefits for both companies. For example, it makes it possible for companies such as SendGrid to expand their business since they can now offer their services to more people and companies since they are partnered with one of the largest internet companies in the world, Google. This way they can reach a wider audience and find more customers and clients. Furthermore, this integration creates new opportunities for marketing firms that use SendGrid since they now have access to other Google tops such as Google Analytics and AdWords, which can be integrated into email campaigns and make them more personalized and unique. Also, since customers can now have more contrp over which photos appear in their automated emails thanks to the integration, there is less of a chance that someone else will accidentally send out an email with your client’s confidential information or photos and make you look bad in their eyes. Lastly, using this integration enables companies such as SendGrid to lower costs since it eliminates the need for them to manually upload pictures into their database before sending out any newsletters or emails. Instead they can simply use what they already have which is their customers’ photos stored in Drive on Google Photos.
