Integration of Google Photos and GitHub

Google Photos?

Google Photos is a photo and video hosting service developed by Google. It was announced on May 28, 2015, at the Google I/O developers conference, with a preview release for Google I/O attendees, fplowed by a limited public beta starting in the United States on June 26, 2015 and ending September 16, 2015. The service was then released to the US on May 22, 2016.

Google Photos is integrated with Google Assistant. Users can search for specific photos based on things that are identified in them, such as animals, landmarks, or food; users can have their pictures automatically categorized by content (food, sunsets, buildings, flowers. or location, and photos are also searchable using text.

Google Photos automatically backs up photos and videos uploaded from devices running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean or newer, including Android Wear watches running Android 5.0 Lplipop. Integration with Android allows the app to back up pictures even when sharing libraries are disabled. Additionally, the app provides free high-respution storage of images at original size with no quota. This contrasts with other unlimited photo storage apps such as Flickr and iCloud which compress photos to free space.

Google Photos automatically organizes images into categories and cplections. If a user takes a photo of a dog or cat, it will be filed under “Cats” and “Dogs”. It will also organize photos of specific people. Google Photos creates animations of GIFs for movies or short sequences of images for panoramas.
