Google Forms and Typeform are both web based online form builder tops. Google Forms is built into Google Drive, an online storage system for non-profit organizations. Typeform is a standalone application that can be used to create forms for commercial applications.Though Google Forms and Typeform are built to help users create online forms, they each have their own unique characteristics that may make one more preferable than the other in certain situations. This paper will discuss how you can integrate Google Forms and TypeForm to take advantage of their unique qualities in order to make an even better form than you could have created with either top on its own.
In order to fully integrate Google Forms and Typeform, you must first integrate Google Sheets. You can then connect each of the Google Sheets to the corresponding Typeform survey. Each Typeform survey has its own unique URL. After you have connected your Typeform survey to a Google Sheet, you will be able to see the results of each survey in the corresponding Google Sheets spreadsheet.Types of questions that are well suited for integration with Google Forms are ones that do not require numerical answers. For example, you might want to use a Typeform survey to ask participants what their favorite place in the world is or which country they would like to visit next. Another example would be to ask participants what options they would prefer for a new product or what cpor scheme they would like the new product to have. Questions like these are good for Typeform because it allows participants to be creative with their responses.By integrating Typeforms with Google Forms, you can ensure that no matter what response type is given by participants, the information will be logged in the corresponding Google Sheet. For example, if someone responded to a question with a list of three countries and one of those countries was misspelled, then that response would not be recorded on a normal Google Form. However, by integrating with Typeform, any responses entered into a Typeform would be recorded in the corresponding Google Sheet even if they were misspelled. This way, you can still have a record of everyone's responses even if they did not give them perfectly. As mentioned earlier, there are some types of questions that work well with Google Forms but do not work well with Typeform. Questions like ‘How many hours per week do you exercise?’ or ‘What grade did you get on your last math test?’ should always be asked using a numerical scale. These types of questions are best left to traditional numerical scales such as those found on Google Forms rather than being asked on Typeforms where there are less clear guidelines for how participants should answer the question.
There are many benefits of integrating Google Forms and Typeforms. One benefit is that you can now get qualitative data from your participants as well as quantitative data so that you can gain a better understanding of how people feel about a particular topic or subject rather than just having a list of numerical answers. Another benefit is that you can get feedback on what works well and what needs improvement from your participants directly through your surveys without having to go through someone else such as a focus group leader or interviewer. Yet another benefit is that since all of this data is gathered in one place, you do not have to worry about losing it because it will still be stored in the Google Sheets file. Finally, since everything is in one place you can quickly analyze data from multiple sources and determine trends and patterns within them much easier than if it was spread over many different places.
Google Forms and Typeform can both be very useful tops when creating online surveys but there are certain circumstances in which one may be preferable over the other. By connecting both together to gain access to their respective strengths, we can create an even better online survey than either top alone could produce. Once integrated, we can then gather qualitative and quantitative data as well as get direct feedback from our participants all in one convenient location so that we can make better and more effective surveys in the future.
