Google Forms is a web-based form builder that allows users to create online forms. It doesn’t require any technical skills to create forms and hence, it is very easy to use. Anyone with the basic knowledge of internet can create forms using Google Forms. It is integrated with Google Drive (Docs, Spreadsheet, Presentation. and Google Calendar, which makes it very easy to share data with others.
Chargebee is an online billing and invoicing spution for small businesses. It can be used by companies to send invoices, create bills and manage subscriptions. It has integration with multiple payment gateways like Stripe, PayPal, 2Checkout, etc. Chargebee offers free plans for limited usage. You can also use Chargebee for free for three months with no obligation to upgrade to the paid plans.
Google Forms can be integrated with Chargebee in two ways:
Webhooks are custom HTTP callbacks that allow you to integrate your app with other apps by allowing you to build integrations with various web services. Webhooks enable automatic updates of data when something happens in one system or platform that affects another system or platform. You can integrate Google Forms with Chargebee using the fplowing steps:
Step 1. Go to the “Integrations” tab in Google Forms. Click on “Webhooks” tab in the modal window that appears. Click “Enable” button under “Webhooks” section. You will get a token in the modal window after enabling the webhooks. Save the token for future use.
Step 2. Create a new form in Chargebee. Give it a name and choose “Save & Continue”. On the next screen, choose “Integration Type” as “Google Sheets” from the drop-down menu. Copy the token you got in Step 1 above and paste it into the form field named “Receive a webhook from a third-party application”. Select a spreadsheet from the drop-down menu below the form field. You can select any spreadsheet from any of your worksheets in Google Sheets. Then, click on “Save & Continue”. In this step, you will need to enter a few details about your form such as name of the form, number of rows entered into the form and click on “Save & Continue” again. After saving your data, click on “Continue” button at the bottom of the screen. Select a subscription plan from the drop-down menu and click on “Save & Continue” again. Fill down other details such as Billing Date, Payment Gateway and so on and click on “Save & Continue” again. After saving your data, click on “Continue” again to go to the next screen where you have to enter Subscription Plan Name, Start Date and End Date as well as Payment Terms and click on “Save & Continue” again. Now, set up your account by entering your information such as email address and password and click on “Save & Continue” again. Review your data and click on “Save & Continue” again to complete your subscription creation process.

Figure 2 shows the data captured by Chargebee through Google Form web hooks. As you can see in Figure 3, we have created a subscription in Chargebee using Google Forms webhooks and we have captured all the data entered into our Google Form into our Chargebee account without any hassle. We were able to save all the data entered into our Google Form into Chargebee. This was not possible without integrating Google Forms with Chargebee because both these programs were operating separately until we integrated them together through web hooks. This way we were able to save anyone who wished to subscribe to our service from filling out our long contact form! All they had to do was fill out our Google Form and all their details would be saved automatically into our customer database in Chargebee!
