Google Docs is a free web-based office suite offered by Google. It allows users to create and edit documents, spreadsheets, presentations, forms, drawings, and templates online while cplaborating in real-time with other users.

SMTP by Connect

SMTP by Connect is a free email marketing service for small businesses. It helps you send newsletters, announcements, and other email messages to subscribers. SMTP by Connect sends emails using your own domain name or one of its own domains, so your emails are not sent from the gmail.com domain.

Integration of Google Docs and SMTP by Connect

With SMTP by Connect's ability to connect to Google Docs, users can now send emails right from their Google Docs documents.

  • Create a new document or open an existing document in Google Docs through https://docs.google.com/ .
  • From the menu on the left, click “Tops” > “SMTP by Connect”.
  • Select “Allow access to my documents” if you want to allow SMTP by Connect to access your Google Docs files. You can also select "Revoke access to my documents" if you later change your mind about allowing access.
  • Select “Send an email” to write an email message in the document. The text you type will appear in the body of the email message.
  • Fill out the required fields to enter information about the recipient of your message, including email addresses and subject lines. You can also add attachments to the message. After you have finished typing, click "Send."
  • A confirmation message will appear that shows you the subject line and recipients of the message. Click “Yes” to send the email or “No” to cancel sending it. If you choose not to send it, you can still save the message as a draft in case you later decide to send it.
  • View your sent email message in your Inbox or Sent fpder as usual. If you have selected “Allow access to my documents”, you can also view your sent message directly in your Google Docs document by clicking "View sent message" from the SMTP by Connect menu. If you have chosen not to allow access, the message will be emailed to you only after you click "View sent message" from above or check your sent fpder. You can click "Delete sent message" from this menu to delete both the document and the email message from your Google Docs account without having to go into your Inbox or Sent fpder.

In summary, SMTP by Connect's integration with Google Docs helps users create and send emails from Google Docs instead of needing to use an external email program such as Outlook or Thunderbird with a Gmail account. SMTP by Connect will create a new email conversation thread with each new email message sent through Google Docs – users can simply reply back with “Reply All” if they want everyone included in the conversation to see their response instead of addressing them individually with a separate email message as before. Additionally, users can view their sent messages directly from their Google Docs documents without having to check any other fpders such as their Inboxes or Sent fpders – again, just click "View sent message" from above under the SMTP by Connect menu and this will open both the message and its associated document at once on screen for easy editing and reading of both items together as one unit instead of having to visit two different locations to accomplish this task. And finally, users can also delete both the document and its accompanying email message together as one unit instead of having to go into their Inboxes or Sent fpders individually and delete each item separately – just click "Delete sent message" from above under the SMTP by Connect menu and this will delete both items at once which saves time and effort doing two separate deletions of these two disparate items individually as they were done before SMTP by Connect's integration with Google Docs was available for use on your document!
