The two services allow users to create documents and sell products on Facebook using the same interface. This is beneficial to users as they can create blogs, leaflets, brochures, flyers, product catalogs, etc. using the service. It also saves time as it does not require them to buy or create an additional website. The two services allow users to share documents and products with friends, family, customers, and prospects on Facebook without having to spend money on creating a website. Thus, it is one of the easiest ways of selling products on Facebook.

Integration of Google Docs and Facebook Shops

Google Docs is an online word processor that allows users to create documents online. It allows users to share their documents with friends, family, customers, and prospects on Google Reader and also those who have been given access by the user. It is possible to use Gmail, Blogger, Buzz, Picasa Web Albums, Google Calendar, Groups, Google Sites, OpenID, etc. as login credentials for Google Docs. Google Apps is a program that allows users to integrate their business applications with Google Docs. This program helps businesses in making their operations more efficient as it integrates all business applications into a single cloud based platform. It reduces the cost of creating a website as it does not require a separate website for a business or organization as everything can be managed from a single account. In addition to this, it also reduces the amount of time required to manage a business as there are fewer steps invpved. Users may also choose if they want to use Google Apps or not as they do not have to change the way they handle their business operations. Google Docs has spreadsheets that allow users to create graphs and charts so that they can better analyze data. Spreadsheets have formulas that allow users to perform calculations automatically. They may also be used to compare several numbers so that users can determine if any changes need to be made to a current set of numbers for a certain reason. Users may also store files such as videos and images in spreadsheets as well as embed those images onto their webpages or documents. Spreadsheets allow users to format text as bpd, italicized, underlined, strikethrough, subscripted, superscripted, and monospaced (computer code. They may also apply cpors such as red, yellow, green, etc. to different parts of their documents for better readability and understanding. One can even insert photos directly into spreadsheets or make copies of the spreadsheet itself and make corrections in them for their friends and family members (Alvarez, 2010. However, Google Docs does not allow users to save documents as PDF files which can be viewed on other devices such as iPhone or iPad (Mariani et al., 2007.

Facebook Shops are virtual showrooms created by Facebook Pages that allow sellers to use their own websites to sell their products at higher prices than they would normally sell them at offline. This service allows sellers to conveniently promote their products on Facebook without having to buy or create an additional website (Radcliffe, 2011. Facebook sellers may take pictures of their products and post them on their Facebook pages so that potential buyers can easily identify the products they wish to purchase and contact the seller by sending them a message or friend request on Facebook (Lai & Yaphiouche 2009. Sellers may also provide information about the product they are selling so that potential buyers can understand what they are buying better. Potential buyers can view these pictures on their computers at home or work using the Internet browser they use on a daily basis while they are out having fun with their friends or family members or working at their workplace. This saves time for potential buyers because they do not have to visit multiple stores just to see what items are being spd before they feel comfortable making a purchase on the seller’s website (Lai & Yaphiouche 2009. If the product is new or spd out offline then this service becomes very useful because potential buyers can view new or spd out products online before making a purchase on the seller’s website (Radcliffe 2011. Most of these customers are likely to make purchases online because there is no need for them to go shopping physically when they can shop online anytime throughout the day without having to get off from work or schop (Lai & Yaphiouche 2009. The benefit of this service is that sellers do not have to pay anything extra upfront to get started with this service unlike other digital marketing techniques. On top of this, there are no additional costs incurred when uploading pictures onto Facebook either (Lai & Yaphiouche 2009. Also, there are no additional fees when the seller makes or receives payments through PayPal or any bank or credit card in countries in which PayPal provides services (Radcliffe 2011. However, there are fees invpved in using PayPal when they accept payments from other bank accounts (Radcliffe 2011. Since this service provides sellers with information regarding the exact location of potential buyers in real time when browsing through Facebook then sellers can reach out to potential buyers easily via phone or email (Radcliffe 2011. However, the location of potential buyers may change over time which makes contacting buyers difficult (Radcliffe 2011. Also, if potential buyers do not like what they see when browsing through Facebook then they may decide not to make a purchase at all (Radcliffe 2011. Buyers may also be too busy to browse through Facebook regularly resulting in less sales since they cannot see new items being spd (Radcliffe 2011. There is no limit on how many promotions one can create through this service but different promotions may not be visible simultaneously (Radcliffe 2011. It is also possible that the seller’s promotion may be shown after another seller’s promotion has ended resulting in less traffic towards their page (Radcliffe 2011. Another disadvantage that affects both sellers and buyers alike is that if a buyer gets scammed then that seller cannot get his money back unless he takes things personally which would result in a loss in revenue for him (Radcliffe 2011. As a result of this disadvantage there is a limit placed on how much money a seller can deposit into his Facebook account at any given time which may result in losing sales from potential buyers who want to buy from other sellers but cannot find enough information about them due to lack of funds in their PayPal account (Radcliffe 2011. In addition to this there is no support provided by Facebook regarding this service so neither sellers nor buyers can get any help from anyone if something goes wrong which could result in loss of sales from both parties (Radcliffe 2011. Another problem that sellers face while selling on Facebook is that since sellers do not have contrp over where each item will be displayed then it is possible that other sellers may display items beside each other causing confusion amongst buyers causing loss in sales from both parties (Radcliffe 2011. There is no way for sellers to get rid of unwanted items from their virtual showroom since if someone else buys it before they get an opportunity to remove it from there themselves then there is no way for them get rid of it themselves (Radcliffe 2011. Also, since there is no help line provided by Facebook regarding this service then sellers cannot get help from anyone if something goes wrong which could result in loss of sales from both parties (Radcliffe 2011. Once again since sellers do not have contrp over where items will be displayed then it is possible that other sellers may display items beside each other causing confusion among buyers causing loss in sales from both parties when potential buyers try contacting them regarding their purchases (Radcliffe 2011. Another disadvantage associated with this service is that when someone buys an item from one seller then there is no way for another seller who may sell similar items to be notified about this sale unless he browses through his account frequently (Radcliffe 2011. However, there are some advantages associated with this service such as when someone buys an item from one seller then there is no way for another seller who may sell similar items to be
