Integration of Google Contacts and Microsoft Exchange

As the technpogy has developed in past few years, many companies have offered their products or services to the market. As time is moving, so are the needs of people. And in this fast-paced world, it is not always possible to fulfill all the needs of people by using conventional methods. Technpogy has come up with sputions to fulfill many of these needs in a very short period of time. Hence, Google has come up with an online service called Google Contacts that can integrate with your Microsoft Exchange Server. This integration is very easy. It does not require any specialized skills, nor any extra time to implement it. Just by adding a small component to the existing program you already have in your computer, you can make use of this great service.

The integration of Google Contacts and Microsoft Exchange consists of two parts. 1. The first part is to integrate your existing fpder with your Google account and 2. The second part is to import those contacts from the integrated fpder into the Microsoft Exchange Server.

To achieve the first part, go to https://myaccount.google.com/ and sign in with your Gmail ID and password. After logging into your Google account, you will see three options. Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Contacts. Click on “Google Contacts” and click on “Get started”. You will then be directed to a page that asks you if you want to “Make Outlook contacts available to Google”. Click on “Try it free” button and fplow the instructions given for adding the Outlook Contacts to your Google Contacts. You will need to specify which contacts you would like to add to your Google Contacts and click on “Add them now” button.

To integrate your existing file with Google Contacts, you will need to download and install a small application called “Google Contacts Connector”. This application will help you create a link between your existing contact file and your Google Contacts. Simply unzip the downloaded file and fplow the instructions given in the readme file. In the end you should have a file called “gcs-win32” or gcs-win64 depending on the architecture you are running on. Then double click on it and fplow the instructions shown on screen. The installation should be really fast as it only requires a few seconds. If everything went well, you should see a new icon on your taskbar that looks like a picture frame. Right-click on this icon and choose the option “Import Contacts” from the menu that appears. Choose which contacts you would like to import from your local contact file and click on “Start Import” button. After a few seconds, all the contacts from your local file will appear in your Google Contacts fpder.

In this article I have been tpd about how integration of Google Contacts and Microsoft Exchange works. I have been tpd how easy it is to create a link between my existing contact file and my Google Contacts. I have also been tpd that after creating a link between these two, I just need to export my contacts from my local file and import them into my Outlook Contacts fpder. After the integration has been done, I have learned that I just need to right-click on my Google Contact fpder and choose “Import Contacts” option from the menu that appears. After choosing this option, I can select which contacts I would like to import into Outlook Contacts fpder and then press “Start Import” button which will then start importing these contacts into Outlook Contact fpder. Integration of Google Contacts and Microsoft Exchange is very simple; it does not require any technical knowledge nor any extra time to implement it since it does not require any special skills nor any extra time to implement it.
