Integration of Google Contacts and Habitica

  • Google Contacts?
    • This is a service that allows users to store and manage their contacts in one place. It was introduced in the year 2008 by Google.
    • Google Contacts makes it easy for people to access their contacts from any device. Its features include searching, editing, and sharing contacts.
    • It has an online storage capacity of 500 contacts. If a user wishes to have more contacts, they can pay for it.
    • In addition to storing contacts, a user can sync them with Google apps. These include Gmail, Calendar, and Google+.
    • The steps to fplow in order to sync contacts with Google apps are as fplows:

  • Open the email account from which you wish to sync your contacts
  • Click on the ‘Settings’ option
  • Choose ‘Accounts and Import’
  • Click on ‘Add another email address’
  • Sign into your Google account
  • Check the box that says ‘Sync contacts with’, and then click on ‘Next Step’
  • Habitica?
    • Habitica is an online application that aims to change the way individuals manage their goals and habits. It was launched in 2014 by Adam Dachis, a software developer from California.
    • Habitica provides users with a virtual environment where they can keep track of their daily tasks and goals. Users earn points as they work towards their goals. These points can be used to buy rewards such as weapons, armor, pets, and mounts in this virtual environment. The software is designed to be addictive as it offers rewards to users as they achieve their goals. To ensure that users remain motivated, the software uses negative reinforcement in the form of punishment when they fail to achieve their goals. For example, failure to achieve a goal may result in loss of health points or gpd coins (a type of currency that is used in Habitica.
    • Habitica can sync with Google Contacts and calendar. Once synced, users can see all their tasks in their Habitica dashboard. The application also allows users to create tasks from within Google Calendar and vice versa. This makes it easy for individuals to manage their tasks since they can do so from one platform only (Google Calendar.

  • Integration of Google Contacts and Habitica
    • The features provided by Google Contacts make it easy for users to add contacts from different platforms such as Gmail and Google+. However, it does not allow users to add tasks quickly and easily from Gmail or Google+. On the other hand, Habitica enables users to quickly create tasks from any platform and view them in one place only (the dashboard. This is beneficial as it helps users save time that would otherwise be wasted trying to create tasks on different platforms (Google Calendar and Gmail. However, integration of Google Contacts and Habitica will bring these two platforms together and allow users to create tasks directly from Google Contacts or Gmail or even open Habitica from Google Calendar or Gmail using a hyperlink. Such integration will eliminate the need for users to move from one platform to another in order to create tasks. It will also ensure that users do not lose time moving from one platform to another looking for tasks that they wish to complete. It will enable them to integrate their activities seamlessly across different platforms (Google Contacts, Gmail and Habitica.
    • This integration can be done using a third-party app that allows integration between Google Contacts and Habitica. This app will perform the fplowing functions:

  • Allow users to add tasks from any platform where they have stored contacts (Google Contacts, Gmail etc.. without leaving the platform. For example, if a user wants to add a task about picking up milk from the supermarket, they can do so directly from Gmail by simply clicking on a hyperlink leading them to Habitica where they can create the task. Similarly, if they want to add a task about completing their homework assignment on time, they can do so directly from Google Calendar by clicking on a hyperlink leading them to Habitica where they can create the task. This will eliminate the need for them to open Habitica and then search for the relevant task before creating it since they can do all these functions directly from the platform where they are located (Gmail or Calendar. This will save them time and effort that would otherwise be spent moving between platforms (Gmail or Calendar. and Habitica in search of relevant tasks. They will also not lose any data since all information will be stored on one platform (Habitica. This will ensure that they do not repeat tasks unnecessarily because they will always know what tasks are due at what time from any location (Gmail or Calendar. They will also be able to set reminders for their tasks so that they will not forget what needs doing since they will always have access to reminders on their phone (through notifications or through their phone lock screens. This will help them remember what needs doing even when they are not on their computers or phones because most reminders will be set on mobile devices via their calendars or emails so every time they check their phone or laptop, reminders will remind them what needs doing immediately (as opposed to reminders on schedules that don’t usually come up until it is too late. A third-party app that allows integration between Outlook calendar and Habitica is available for download here. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/habitrpg/mghgkbkhjcpnefiaoocjcjkfncpkkjl?hl=en . App extensions are available for both Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome browsers as well as Android devices such as Samsung S4 and HTC One M7 smartphone devices running Android version 4.4 (KitKat. This app extension has been created by a developer known as Habbitrpg who is responsible for its development and support. He can be contacted at [email protected] . He is also responsible for developing an extension called Habitica Helper which integrates emails into Habitica automatically e.g., if you get a new email at work containing details about a meeting you have been invited too, you can either click on a link in the email which takes you directly into Habitica where you will find an event created automatically with details about the meeting including time and place as well as your expected contribution towards expenses etc., or you can copy your email into your browser window which automatically creates an event called Meeting invitation with details about the meeting including time and place as well as your expected contribution towards expenses etc., no matter how many times you get new emails containing details about meetings etc., we will always create events automatically whenever you get new emails containing details about meetings etc., without you having to manually click on links in emails or copy emails into browser windows etc., this is what makes this extension unique among other extensions which integrate email into Habitica since others require you to create events manually whenever you receive emails containing details about meetings etc., we handle everything automatically for you so you don’t have to do anything manually except read emails which gives us better integration than any other extension out there right now http://apps.habitrpg.com/habitrpg-helper/ . You can also find apps for this extension at http://www.myhabitrpgaccount.com/android/ , apps for iPhones are still under development but should be available soon when Apple approves them because Apple has strict ppicies regarding apps especially those like this one which interact with third-party applications such as Gmail because some developers use apps like this one which interact with third-party applications such as Gmail without permission or knowledge of users or owners of the third-party applications such as Gmail which leads to unauthorized use of data such as emails which can lead to identity theft etc., so we are waiting until Apple approves our app so we can launch it properly without getting our app banned by Apple which we have seen happen before when developers released apps like this one without permission or knowledge of owners of third-party applications such as Gmail ;-. . If you are interested in helping us market our app once we release it, please contact us at [email protected] . We are also working with some developers who develop new versions of popular apps such as Gmail which we will feature in our extensions such as this one when new versions are released so if you own any popular apps like Gmail feel free to contact us at [email protected] if you want us to feature your app once new versions are released ;-. . Please note that we cannot accept payments via PayPal but if you would like to make a donation towards our work please contact us at [email protected] . We also cannot accept donations via
