Integration of Google Contacts and Amazon SQS

Amazon SQS is a web service that provides a message queue. Amazon SQS can be used to build distributed applications. Messages are stored in a persistent queuing system and messages can be accessed from anywhere with an Internet connection. The API for Amazon SQS is provided by the Web Services Interface (AWS.It is platform agnostic and works equally well on Linux, Windows or Mac operating systems. This means that users without any knowledge of Amazon can still access the service and utilize it in their projects. The Web Service Interface was introduced in November 2005. Since then, it has been adopted by many developers into their systems.

Google Contacts is a component of Google’s Gmail service that lets users manage their contacts. It integrates directly with Gmail so that the contacts appear in the same window as the e-mail. It was launched in April 2006 and is available to all Gmail users.

Integration of Google Contacts and Amazon SQS will allow users to create accounts on both platforms, using one account to login to both services. Users will be able to share contact lists between platforms and have access to each other’s contact lists. They will also be able to send messages to each other using either method. In order for this to happen, Amazon SQS should be implemented into Google Contacts’ codebase and vice versa. This will allow users of either service to access the other service’s features without having to register on the other service. This integration will allow users to create, update and delete contacts from both services when they are logged into either platform. Also, if Google Contacts implements Amazon SQS, users will have access to the AWS SDK which lists Java libraries that give developers remote access to Amazon SQS.This integration will offer benefits to both users and developers. For users, it will eliminate the need for registering on multiple platforms just to log into another service or use its features. Also, instead of implementing the same feature twice, developers will be able to implement only one version of the feature.Users and developers will be able to save time by implementing only one version of a feature instead of two different versions of the same feature that accomplish the same thing. For users, emailing an address that has a Gmail account and an Amazon SQS account will allow them to see information about when the message was sent and when it was received. Also, it will allow them to get a preview of the message that they would have otherwise not seen on Gmail because it is considered spam. This integration will offer many advantages to both users and developers. Users will have access to more features than before and developers will not have to implement the same feature twice since there is only one feature instead of two different features that accomplish the same thing.Developers will be able to save time by implementing only one version of a feature instead of two different versions of the same feature that accomplish the same thing.

Google Contacts and Amazon SQS should integrate because they could benefit from each other’s services. Google Contacts could use Amazon SQS’ messaging service for sending automatic notifications for new emails, or perhaps even storing data on the cloud for backups. Conversely, Amazon SQS could use Google Contacts’ contacts list for creating accounts where the contacts are listed in the account information or even integrating with Gmail’s search functions for finding contacts more easily. If Google Contacts and Amazon SQS integrate, it would reduce confusion for both users and developers who would be able to share contact lists between platforms and send messages to each other using either method. This integration would eliminate confusion for users because they would not have to register on multiple platforms just to log into another service or use its features. This implementation would also eliminate confusion for developers who would not have to implement the same feature twice since there is only one feature instead of two different features that accomplish the same thing. Also, users would be able to access features that were previously unavailable on either platform such as allowing users of Gmail to see previews of messages that are considered spam when using Google Contacts integration with Amazon SQS.
