Google Cloud Print is a free service by Google that allows users to print documents from any computer, tablet or phone with a web browser and email account. Users can print from their computers to any printer connected to the Internet (via USB or Wi-Fi. They can also print from their mobile devices to nearly any printer connected to the Internet. The system uses its own Google Account and it has an Android app called "Cloud Print". It's similar to other cloud-based printing systems such as Apple's AirPrint and HP's ePrint. Unlike these other systems, however, Google Cloud Print does not require the use of a third-party cloud infrastructure. Google can add printers by two ways:
The printer manufacturer supplies the printer's IP address and port number to Google.
The user adds the printer.
Google transfers PDF files to the print servers which then convert the files into PostScript and send them to the connected printers. This way, any application can send a document to be printed without having to worry about the details of the printer's protocp, location on the network, or even make and model of the printer.
Google Docs is an online word processor developed by Google. A user can create, view, edit, print files through this online word processor. Google Docs' "view only" mode allows anyone with the link to see the document but not modify it. The "edit" mode allows anyone with permission to edit the document and save their changes, but prevents them from deleting or overwriting other people's edits without permission. The "view & edit" mode allows anyone with permission to both read the document and edit it. In all cases, people with permission can revert to an earlier version of a document at any time.
