I will begin by saying that I have been using Office 365 for a while now. I have not used Google Calendar until recently. Office 365 is the equivalent of Google Calendar in terms of being an app on your phone. Both also provide you with cloud based storage for your files. As well, both have their own apps that allow you to access them from your phone or tablet. You can sync your calendars with other programs, such as Apple’s iCal or Outlook.
Google Calendar can be accessed through your browser or through your phone. It is easy to use and simple to navigate. To create a calendar, simply click on “Create New Calendar” and give it a name. You then have the option to choose which calendars you want to display, such as Calendars, Hpidays, Events, and Birthdays. Each calendar is cpor coded and it is important to be able to distinguish between them at a glance.
Google calendar allows you to share your calendars with friends and family so that they can schedule events with you. They don’t even need a google account. When they create an event, it appears on your calendar and if you accept it, it automatically appears on theirs too. If they change the details of the event, the changes automatically appear on your calendar as well.
Office 365 allows you to create events and invite friends and family to them. It is very easy to do and it is great to be able to see all of my events in one place – both on my computer and on my phone – instead of having two separate pieces of software telling me what I’m supposed to be doing next week (or this week. The integration of these two applications is seamless and easy.
There are many benefits to having integrated calendars. One of the most obvious is being able to see future events from one calendar on your phone as well as from your computer. It is wonderful not having to log into each device separately to check what I have committed myself to do in the near future. I didn’t realize how useful this would be until I started using Google Calendar on my phone and being able to see right away what I have lined up for the day. Having a calendar on my computer as well as on my phone provides a quick way for me to figure out what I am going to be doing later in the day. It also helps me keep track of all the different appointments I have scheduled throughout the day, although sometimes it can be a little overwhelming!
