Integration of Google Calendar and Mailgun

Google Calendar is a free web-based calendar that helps users keep track of events and other important dates. It is integrated with other Google services such as Gmail, Docs, and more. These services can be used to create and send email invitations to the events you have created in your Calendar.Mailgun is a service that allows you to send and receive email through their servers and provides an API for integration with other software. Mailgun does not provide SMTP authentication, so if you want to use it with another service that requires authentication, you will need to set up auth in Mailgun first.Google Calendar and Mailgun can be integrated very well. First, you can use Mailgun to send emails to users who have RSVP'd to an event created in Google Calendar. Next, you can integrate Mailgun with Google Calendar to send automated reminders before an event. Finally, you can also use Mailgun's API to create mail templates and use them in other things such as Google Docs.The benefits of integration of Google Calendar and Mailgun are:First, using Mailgun instead of the Gmail SMTP server for sending invitations saves time since you do not have to open Gmail manually or copy and paste the email addresses.Second, using Mailgun for RSVP reminders saves time since you do not have to open Google Calendar manually or copy and paste the email addresses. The same goes for automated RSVP reminders.Finally, using Mailgun for mail templates in Google Docs saves time since you do not have to open Google Calendar manually or copy and paste the email addresses.

Integration of Google Calendar and Mailgun

Google Calendar can be integrated with Mailgun via its API. There are two ways in which to do this. 1. by sending an HTTP request to the /mailgun/event/{event_id} endpoint after creating an event in your Calendar and 2. by using an HTML form on a website.

1. Sending an HTTP request to the /mailgun/event/{event_id} endpoint after creating an event in your CalendarThe fplowing code shows how to send an HTTP request to the /mailgun/event/{event_id} endpoint after creating an event in your Calendar using JavaScript:var eventId = $('#event_id'.val();var calendarName = $('#calendar'.val();var event = {"recurring". {"start". new Date(new Date(.setMonth(new Date(.getMonth(. + 1.setDate(new Date(.getDate(. + 1000)),"end". new Date(new Date(.setMonth(new Date(.getMonth(. + 1.setDate(new Date(.getDate(. + 10000)),},"description". $("#description".val(),"location". $("#location".val(),"organizer". {"email". "[email protected]","fullname". "Sample Name",}};$.ajax({type. "POST",url. "/mailgun/event/" + eventId + "/",data. JSON.stringify(event),success. function(json){alert(json);},error. function(){alert(JSON.stringify({"status". "error", "message". "An error occurred"}));}});2. Using an HTML form on a websiteThis method is similar to the first one, but instead of sending an HTTP request, you will be submitting data via an HTML form. The fplowing HTML form uses the jQuery Validation plugin to validate data before sending it via an HTML form:<form id="submit-event-form"><table><tr><td>Event ID</td><td><input type="text" id="event_id" name="event_id" value="<?php echo isset($_GET["event_id"])?$_GET["event_id"]:"?>" /> </td></tr> <tr><td>Organizer Full Name</td><td><input type="text" id="email" name="email" /> </td></tr> <tr><td>Event Name</td><td><input type="text" id="name" name="name" /> </td></tr> <tr><td>Event Description</td><td><textarea id="description"></textarea></td></tr> <tr><td>Event Location</td><td><input type="text" id="location" name="location" /> </td></tr> <tr><td cpspan="2"><input type="submit" value="Submit Event" /></td></tr> </table> </form> <script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-3.2.1.min.js"></script> <script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery-validation/2.0.3/jquery.validate.min.js"></script> <script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery-validation-unobtrusive/2.5.4/jquery.validate-unobtrusive.min.js"></script> <script src="/jquery-validation/js/jquery-validation-unobtrusive-adapter.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(function (. { $("#submit-event-form".validate({ rules. { event_id. { required. true }, email. { required. true, email. true }, name. { required. true }, location. { required. true }, description. { required. true } }, messages. { event_id. { required. "Please fill out this field." }, email. { required. "Please fill out this field.", email. "Please enter a valid email address." }, name. { required. "Please fill out this field." }, location. { required. "Please fill out this field." }, description. { required. "Please fill out this field." } } }); }); </script> <html> <head> <title>Add Event</title> </head> <body> <h1>Add Event</h1> <div id="events"/> <form id="submit-event-form"> <table> <tr><td>Event ID</td><td><input type="text" id="event_id" name="event_id" value="<?php echo isset($_GET["event_id"])?$_GET["event_id"]:"?>" /> </td></tr> <tr><td>Organizer Full Name</td><td><input type="text" id="email" name="email" /> </td></tr> <tr><td>Event Name</td><td><input type="text" id="name" name="name" /> </td></tr> <tr><td>Event Description</td><td><textarea id="description"></textarea></td></tr> <tr><td>Event Location</td><td><input type="text" id="location" name="location" /> </td></tr> <tr><td cpspan="2"><input type="submit" value="Submit Event" /></td></tr> </table> </form> </body> </html>  I hope you enjoyed this tutorial on integration of Google Calendar and Mailgun!
