Integration of Google Calendar and Google Meet

Google Calendar?

Google Calendar is a free online application that can be used to create and edit appointments, reminders and events. It’s a part of Google’s productivity apps. As stated by Google, “it’s a simple but powerful top that helps you bring your life together” (Google, 2017.

Google Meet?

According to Google, “Meet is an app that lets teams have real-time video meetings. You can share screens, call in guests from the attendee list, and start a hangout from anywhere in your G Suite account” (Google, 2017.

Integration of Google Calendar and Google Meet

As mentioned above, Google Calendar and Google Meet are both applications made by Google, which can be used for different purposes. Both of them are applications created for the purpose of improving work efficiency. In this section, I will discuss how these two applications can be integrated so they can benefit from each other.

When using Google Calendar, you can use its “Events” feature to create events and set reminders for those events. However, you cannot schedule a meeting with someone on Google Calendar alone. Events created on Google Calendar do not support scheduling meetings or calls that invpve two or more people. If you want to schedule a meeting or a call that invpves two or more people, you need to access Google Meet. As such, if you want to schedule a meeting or a call with someone on Google Calendar, you first need to access Google Meet and then schedule the meeting or call there. However, if you want to schedule a meeting or a call on Google Meet alone, you must first access Google Calendar and then go to Meet and schedule the meeting or call there. These steps invpve switching between apps and cause extra time to be spent on scheduling meetings and calls. You can easily spve this problem by integrating both apps into one – that is why we need an outline for an article about Google Calendar and Google Meet integration.

Benefits of Integration of Google Calendar and Google Meet

Integration of both apps will allow users to create events on Google Calendar and schedule meetings or calls on it without having to access another app. Thus, users will not spend extra time on scheduling meetings and calls since they will not have to switch between apps to do so. It will also make it easier for users to find out who has attended their events or meetings since they will be able to see all event attendees on Google Calendar. Furthermore, users will also be able to see which meetings they have attended on their calendar since meetings will show up as events on it. This will help users keep track of their appointments more easily since they will be able to see all their appointments in one place. Therefore, integration of both apps is needed to improve work efficiency.

In conclusion, integration of both apps will allow users to create events on Google Calendar and schedule meetings or calls on it without having to access another app. Thus, users will not spend extra time on scheduling meetings and calls since they will not have to switch between apps to do so.
