Gmail is an Internet-based email service, created by Google. Gmail’s users include business and government organizations, as well as individuals. Quick Base is the world’s easiest way for businesses or individuals to create custom Web and mobile apps without coding. Just use the online application builder to build your app, add data or documents from other services you use (like Google Drive, Dropbox, Facebook etc.), publish it to the web, create an app for each device and share it with others. (Quick Base, 2011)
With hundreds of millions of people using Gmail today, it was only natural to explore ways to integrate this popular service with Quick Base. The result is a powerful new feature called “quick insert.” This new feature makes it easy to access the information you need while creating a form or app from your Gmail account, without ever leaving the Quick Base editor. (2011)
When you create a form in Quick Base, you can choose which fields to include on the form. You have complete freedom to design your form exactly as you like — with all the fields you want, in any order. With quick insert, you now have the option to add existing Gmail contacts as individual records on your form, rather than typing them in manually from scratch. Once you’ve added these contacts to your form, you can then make changes to their profile information, which will be reflected in Gmail. You can also view any associated attachments from Gmail or create additional records that are attached to the same record in Gmail. (2011)
