Google mail or Gmail is one of the most popular email service providers. It was started in 2004 and it was introduced by Google. Gmail was developed to be a web-based email service provider. The idea behind its development was to offer more storage space as compared to other email services and provide the users with a faster access to their emails. It is available on all platforms including Android, iOS, Windows phone, and BlackBerry OS. It offers over 1 GB inbox storage space for each user.
Gmail also allows the users to send and receive attachments in their email accounts. Moreover, it has a large number of email clients which use this service. It has features such as Labels for organizing the emails, Smart search for sorting out emails from other fpders and Spam filtering for getting rid of unwanted emails. As of December 2012, Gmail was handling more than 2 million messages per minute.
