Gmail is a free, web-based email service provided by Google. It was launched in April 2004 as an invitation-only beta release, and became available to the general public on February 7, 2007. Users can access Gmail from Gmail’s website, or download the application for iOS, Android or Microsoft Windows. Gmail is also available as an application for BlackBerry and Windows Phone devices.
