This includes accounting, e-mail marketing, fulfillment, and sales automation. ShipStation allows you to integrate with third party applications. These include QuickBooks, Amazon Web Services, USPS Web Tops, FedEx Web Tops, UPS Web Tops, Shopify, Magento, Etsy, BigCommerce, Square, Shopify POS, Big Cartel, and many more.
GitLab was founded in 2011 by Sytse Sijbrandij and is also an open source software. GitLab provides a complete development environment in which you can work with code, test and deploy it. You can import your inventory data from ShipStation into GitLab's database using the ShipStation API. This enables you to keep track of your inventory as well as send shipments to customers.
To import your inventory from ShipStation into GitLab's database using the ShipStation API, go to "Settings" in ShipStation then under "API Access" click on "Connect". Create a new app on ShipStation and copy over your access token. In GitLab go to Settings then under "Authentication & API Tokens" click on "Personal Access Tokens". Click "Generate New Token" then enter a name for your token. Copy over your token to ShipStation then click "Save Changes". In ShipStation go to Settings then under "API Access" then create a new API key. Use this key to connect the API you created earlier in GitLab with the ShipStation API protocp. Now you have successfully integrated ShipStation into GitLab via the ShipStation API giving you access to your account's inventory data. The next step is importing inventory data from ShipStation into GitLab's database using the ShipStation API. To do this you must have an existing API token from GitLab which you can create by going to Settings then under "Authentication & API Tokens" click on "Personal Access Tokens". Click "Generate New Token" then enter a name for your token and click "Generate New Token". Copy the token (you should never reveal personal access tokens. To import inventory data from ShipStation into GitLab's database using the ShipStation API go to Settings in GitLab then under "Authentication & API Tokens" click on "Personal Access Tokens". Click "Import Token from URL" then paste your ShipStation token into the URL field then click "Save Changes". If successful you should see your inventory data from ShipStation being imported into GitLab's database. You have successfully integrated GitLab with ShipStation!
With integration of GitLab and ShipStation you have access to both applications' abilities. You can now use GitLab's features through the ShipStation API making it easier to manage orders. For example, orders made through ShipStation can be automatically closed in GitLab's database when they are shipped. This would save time when managing orders because you would not have to manually close them in GitLab's database after they have been shipped. Also if an order is returned or canceled in ShipStation then it can be cancelled in GitLab's database as well saving time and money for your business.
