GitLab is an open source web application for collaboratively editing and managing source code. It can be used to host and review code, manage projects, and build software together.
IMAP stands for Internet message access protocol, which is a widely used e-mail retrieval protocol that is supported by millions of mail servers worldwide and is available in Microsoft, Google, and Yahoo! products. Also, take a look at our SMTP service.IMAP by Connect Integrations

GitLab is a web based application that allows users to manage projects. Projects can be created, edited and deleted by the user. Users also have the ability to create and delete repositories on their servers. The ability to create repositories with little to no restrictions is one of the biggest advantages of using GitLab in regards to other software such as GitHub.
GitHub allows users to create repositories but they are limited in what they can do with them. For example, users can’t add or edit files within a repository without using the command line interface. This can make it very difficult for non-geek users. GitLab allows users to edit files within repositories without having to know how to use the command line interface.
IMAP by Connect is an application that allows users to view or send email messages from a remote client such as Outlook or Thunderbird. This application works in conjunction with Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, and other IMAP email accounts, which means that users can see all of their emails from all of their accounts on their computer. This makes it much easier for users to switch between accounts when replying to emails. When a user replies to an email through IMAP by Connect, they will still receive notifications on their phone and tablet even if the email was sent through a different account like Yahoo!.
Integration of IMAP by Connect and GitLab
One of the biggest issues with GitLab is that while you can use it to manage projects, you can’t use it to manage emails. For example, if you are working on a project together with someone else and you want to share and discuss the document you are working on, you can do so through GitLab. However, you cannot easily cplaborate with another person on an email.
If you are working on a project with someone and you both receive an email about that project, you will not be able to reply to that email from your email program. You have to log onto the GitLab website to reply to the email that you received about the project. This adds more steps and more time that it takes to reply to emails and it makes the process less efficient.
Another issue with not being able to access your email through GitLab is that people can’t make comments on messages after they receive them from GitLab. This takes away from the commenting feature on Gmail and other email platforms because people can only make comments on emails that have been taken off of Gmail using the Google Suite. If you use Gmail, then you will not be able to make comments on messages sent from Slack or Trello because you cannot access those services via GitLab.
Benefits of Integration of IMAP by Connect and GitLab
By integrating IMAP by Connect into GitLab, it would be much easier for users to manage both their emails and projects on one platform. This would save time for users because they would not have to log into two separate areas in order to perform various tasks associated with managing projects and emails. It would also increase efficiency because people would be able to manage their projects and emails from one platform without having to switch back and forth between multiple platforms in order to accomplish different tasks.
