Webex Messaging is a cloud based service that allows users to make video calls and send instant messages. It also allows users to record their own conferences and share them with others through a screen share or whiteboard. Webex offers features like screen sharing, voice calling, file sharing and more. The company's product portfpio includes Webex Meeting Center, Webex Meetings, Webex Events, Webex Training and Webex Support. Cisco acquired WebEx in 2007 for $3.2 billion.
In this section I will explain how GitLab integrates with Webex Messaging. We will look at how one can use Webex Messaging to chat with their team members who are connected to GitLab. Connecting GitLab with Webex Messaging is very simple. First, you need to download the Webex Connect plug-in from the Plug-ins section of your GitLab instance. Once you have downloaded the plug-in, you should install it on your computer. After installing the plug-in, you will be able to access Webex Messaging from within GitLab using the same username and password that you use to connect to your GitLab account.
Now that we have our webex integration set up, let's try it out! First, I created a new project on my GitLab account named "Integration of gitlab and webex messaging." Then, I added the project that I created in GitLab to Webex Connect by selecting the "Send Invitation" option from the project's menu. Once I had added the project to Webex Connect, I was able to see all of my project members who were already connected to my GitLab account. I clicked on the chat icon next to each of their names; this opened up a chat window between me and each one of my project members that were already connected to my GitLab account. We were then able to chat with each other right inside GitLab! This makes it so easy for us to communicate with our team members while we are working on projects together!
The integration of GitLab and Webex Messaging has many benefits. First, we can now communicate in real time with our team members who are connected to our GitLab account without having to email them or call them on the phone! This saves us time as we no longer have to go back and forth with our teammates when working on a project together; we can just ask them questions right there in our chat window! Furthermore, we can record our conversations whenever we have conferences on Webex for later reference; this allows us to revisit what was said during our meetings without having to sit through all of them again! Finally, we can share screens with only the people who are in our current project; this ensures that we only share information with those who need it at the moment! This allows us to keep our confidential information confidential! Overall, I believe that this integration will make it easier for teams to share information with one another while staying organized!
