FuseDesk is a help desk software that enables businesses to provide support on their web sites. Whether its email, live chat or on the phone, FuseDesk can be used to support customers and increase customer satisfaction.
Microsoft Exchange is a server-based e-mail messaging system developed by Microsoft. It is used in most large corporations today, including some government entities. It offers a variety of messaging services, such as e-mail servers, calendar servers, address book servers, routing services and fax servers. A server-based application, it provides services to clients over a network port, unlike client-server applications such as Microsoft Outlook which run directly on the client’s PC or workstation.
The integration of FuseDesk and Microsoft Exchange enables users to get applications from FuseDesk and have them appear in Microsoft Exchange calendars. This allows the user to have the application’s tasks appear in their calendar and keep track of their assignments. It also allows the user to get service requests from their customers and have them appear in Exchange’s calendar of events for them to manage. In addition, it allows users to create tasks for each request and assign it to a team member, keeping track of all tasks assigned to each team member. The integration of FuseDesk and Microsoft Exchange also enables users to send messages from FuseDesk and have them appear in Microsoft Exchange’s message store. This allows them to view messages from FuseDesk and respond to them within Outlook rather than having to access the web site; they can also send messages from Outlook and have them appear in FuseDesk’s message inbox in addition to sending messages through email. Similarly, the integration of FuseDesk and Microsoft Exchange enables users to create tasks in FuseDesk and have them appear in Exchange’s calendar so they appear in Outlook.
The integration between FuseDesk and Microsoft Exchange provide many benefits to users. One benefit is that it eliminates the need to switch back and forth between applications to complete tasks. For example, if a user receives a request from a customer through FuseDesk and wants to add an assignment with due dates and other details, the user would normally need to open up Outlook and then FuseDesk’s assignment manager in order to add information to the task record associated with the request. However, with the integration of FuseDesk and Microsoft Exchange, the user can simply select the request in FuseDesk’s assignment manager, click the “Create Task…” button, enter any additional information about the task in Outlook’s task window, then press OK. The new task will be created within Outlook while still being associated with the request in FuseDesk’s assignment manager. Another benefit is that users can easily view messages received through email or via the web interface in Outlook while also being able to reply to messages through Outlook instead of having to navigate to the web site. As described above, users can benefit from this by sending messages from Outlook that will appear in the recipient’s inbox in both locations instead of just one location. A third benefit is that schedules are easier to maintain since they are integrated into the same calendar used for scheduling meetings, appointments, etc., rather than being kept in separate calendars for each application. This makes it easier for users to keep track of when tasks are due so they don’t miss deadlines. Finally, another benefit is that users can easily see all their tasks across multiple applications in one place so it is easy for them to manage their time by seeing what tasks are coming up soon or by seeing what tasks are not yet finished. With the integration of FuseDesk and Microsoft Exchange, users can take advantage of advanced features like assigning tasks to others in their organization or creating tasks that will automatically trigger emails when due dates are reached; they can also take advantage of advanced project management features like Gantt charts (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gantt_chart.
