Freshteam + awork Integrations

Two months ago, I started teaching Freshteam to my students. Freshteam is a platform for making online lessons, and it is very helpful for teachers to design their lesson plans. It is an effective top for me to teach English in my own way while using real English materials. Before using Freshteam, I was too busy to prepare some good learning materials for my students. And I found that some of the students were not paying enough attention in class because they did not understand some complicated words. The integration of Freshteam and awork provides me with more opportunities to improve my lessons. In fact, I have been using awork since last year. In order to promote my lessons on awork, I have created a work called "Useful expressions for business English". This work includes some useful expressions that are necessary for business men to know. Teachers have given positive feedback about this work, but I found that there are still some problems with it. Some students did not fully understand the contents of the work, and some did not even open it. I realized that the vocabulary used in this work was too difficult for them because they did not have sufficient English knowledge to understand these expressions perfectly. Then I decided to add Freshteam into my business English class in order to help my students study the vocabulary better.

First, I created a teacher account on Freshteam and uploaded all the contents of my business English class onto it. Then I designed a lesson plan on Freshteam based on this work. All the words used in this work were presented clearly in Freshteam by using pictures and videos while all the explanations were included in the lesson plan on Freshteam as well. Each word had a short explanation about its meaning and several examples were provided as well. The explanation was written in simple language while the examples were highly practical and relevant to students' lives. Therefore, my students could understand these words perfectly after studying them through this lesson plan on Freshteam. Besides, they could also use the links provided in the lesson plan to test themselves and see their scores immediately after each test.

I noticed that my students were really willing to practice these words after every class and they enjoyed learning these new words through Freshteam and awork. For example, they were able to learn how to pronounce and use contractions and phrasal verbs through watching short videos and listening carefully to native speakers' voices through downloading audio recordings provided in Freshteam and awork. They also gained more experience in communicating with native speakers when they used instant messaging functions provided in Freshteam and awork to chat with me and other native speakers in real time during class time. Therefore, it is obvious that integrating Freshteam and awork into my business English class has increased the students' motivation to study English and made my job easier because I did not need to prepare materials anymore; instead I only needed to create a lesson plan on Freshteam based on existing works and upload all my lessons onto awork in order to let my students access them anytime and anywhere through their devices like smartphones and tablets.
