  • Freshsales is a sales and marketing platform for small and medium businesses, developed and owned by Freshworks. It was launched in the year 2013 and by 2015 it had over 500 active customers. In 2016, Freshworks raised $20 million in funding for further expansion of the product. The company has a global presence with offices located in San Mateo, California, Bangalore, India and Chennai, India.

  • Airtable is a cloud-based application which helps users manage their data. It can work on all devices and is available as a native mobile app for iPhone and Android. Airtable stores hierarchical data, allowing for different levels of hierarchy in the same data set. This makes it possible to view the same data from multiple perspectives.

  • In June 2017, Freshworks acquired Airtable. By December 2017, Freshworks launched an integration between Airtable and Freshsales. This integration allows users of both the products to share records with each other. This feature allows users to create leads in Airtable and then update them in Freshsales if they get converted into deals or not. Similarly, when a user creates a deal in Freshsales, it can be synchronized with Airtable. This way, all the records are kept up to date and the user does not have to manually update them.

When a user creates a lead in Airtable, they can assign it to any sales rep and then send it out to them via Freshsales. They can then send fplow ups via email or SMS directly from Airtable to the sales reps.
