Freshdesk was founded in 2010 by Girish Mathrubootham and Shan Krishnasamy, who met while they were working for Zoho Corporation. Freshdesk is headquartered in San Bruno, CA. The company has over 200 employees with offices in San Francisco, Chennai, Delhi, Munich, and Singapore. In June 2015, Freshdesk received a funding of $100 million from Tiger Global Management and Accel Partners making the total funds raised to $150 million. In January 2017, Freshdesk announced that they have acquired a startup called Gengo for an undisclosed amount. Gengo is a text translation platform used by Freshdesk to provide language translation for its customers.


monday.com is a web-based project management top that gives users a visual layout to manage how projects are being conducted. monday.com was founded in 2013 in Munich by Daniel Fahlke and Thomas Wplmann. In 2014 monday.com received a seed fund from VC firm Kite Ventures and in 2015 it received a series A funding from Insight Venture Partners and Singtel Innov8. monday.com is a free top but has premium features available for a fee. At the moment the company has offices in Munich and Shanghai and employs around 75 people.
