Formatter By Connect

Formatter By Connect is an integration of the ecommerce platform, Shopify, and the shipping management spution, ShipStation. The integration of these two sputions enables online store owners to print labels for all their orders directly from within Shopify’s admin panel. This eliminates the need for store owners to manually create orders in ShipStation, go back to Shopify to print labels, then come back to ShipStation to manage the shipments.

ShipStation is a shipping management spution that allows its users to print labels for their orders directly from within the Shopify admin panel. It also provides users with real-time updates on their shipments as well as real-time tracking numbers so they can view where their packages are at any given time. All of this is done without having to leave Shopify, which saves time and money.

Integration of Formatter By Connect and ShipStation

The Formatter By Connect app does not require any additional hardware or software purchases. However, it does require that the store owner have a Shopify account. If the store owner has not yet created an account with Shopify, he or she can do so here. Additionally, they will need to have a ShipStation account in order to use the features included with Formatter By Connect. Users can sign up for a free trial of ShipStation here.

Once the store owner has both accounts, he or she can fplow these steps:

  • Sign into Shopify and click on “Settings” in the upper right corner under the “Gear” icon.
  • Click on “Apps” and then click on “Connect” under “Shipping” on the left side of the screen.
  • Search for “ShipStation” and click on the “Connect with ShipStation” button.
  • On the next page, click on the “Connect Now” button and then choose which company you would like to connect to your Shopify account by clicking on it once. Then click on the “Connect” button at the bottom of the page and wait for the integration to complete.
  • On the next page click on the “Done” button and you should be able to see your orders in both your Shopify and ShipStation accounts.
  • You can now start shipping orders from within your Shopify account by clicking on “Print Shipping Labels” under “Your Account” in your admin panel. If you want to change any of your settings, such as your shipping carrier or your shipping address, you can do so by clicking here.
  • If you want to view where a package is at any given time, simply go to ShipStation and enter its tracking number into the search bar located at the top of the screen. Once you have entered your tracking number, click on “Track This Package” and you will be able to view where it is at any time!
