Integration of Flipkart and Alegra

Flipkart is an Indian online retail company founded by Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal. The idea of the company was conceived in 2007, when the two were pursuing their computer science degrees at the University of Texas at Austin. Initially named ‘thenextbigthing’, it was renamed to Flipkart in 2008. The name Flipkart is a combination of the words Flip (referring to flipping books, which is what the founders did during their time as students. and Karnatik, a music genre from South India. In addition to providing a platform for sellers, Flipkart also owns a number of other businesses in the same sector. It owns Myntra, a fashion ecommerce site, Jabong.com, a site that sells clothes and accessories for women, and Hoopos.com, a mobile recharge service.

Alegra Systems Pvt. Ltd is a software development company. It was founded in 2000 by Suresh B, Anand B and Pavan J. In 2008 they entered into a partnership with Intuit Inc. In 2010, Intuit entered into an agreement with Paypal to integrate its technpogy with Alegra’s payment gateway services. Alegra provided payment processing services to companies like Akamai, PayPal and First Data Corporation. In 2012, Alegra was acquired by RBS Payment Sputions (now Braintree.

Integration of Flipkart and Alegra

The integration of Flipkart and Alegra will allow both companies to benefit from each other’s strengths. This includes the integration of Alegra’s payment gateway services with Pocketmags.com and eMall, owned by Flipkart. This will increase the demand for the company’s products and services on these sites. It will also allow Flipkart to acquire customers more easily, as it will be associated with an established brand. Another benefit of this integration is that it allows Flipkart and Alegra to share their customer base and increase their revenues. This will reduce the amount of money that both companies spend on generating new customers and thus, increase profits. Flipkart will be able to offer its customers credit/debit card payments as well as net banking payments through Alegra’s payment gateway services. This will help increase shoppers’ trust in Flipkart, thereby increasing sales vpumes.

Benefits of Integration of Flipkart and Alegra

The integration of Flipkart and Alegra will have several positive effects on both companies. Increased sales vpumes are the most obvious benefits of this integration. However, there are several other benefits which are not so obvious but equally important in the long run. For example, if Flipkart is able to offer customers credit/debit card payments through Alegra’s payment gateway services, it will be able to retain customers who have not yet paid for their orders via credit/debit card due to lack of funds in their bank accounts. This will allow them to make repeat purchases through credit/debit cards without having to use cash on delivery or net banking payments. Another benefit is that integrating with Alegra would enable Flipkart to reach out to customers in smaller towns who are unable to access the internet very easily or do not have access to net banking or credit/debit cards. This will allow Flipkart to generate additional revenues by reaching out to people in places where no other online retail company has been able to reach out till now. It will also improve customer satisfaction levels in these areas by allowing them to place orders easily despite the lack of net banking facilities or poor internet connections. Additionally, this integration would also allow Flipkart to offer its customers discounts on goods purchased via credit/debit cards or net banking payments. This would give customers another reason to purchase goods from Flipkart rather than other online retailers like Amazon or Snapdeal, who already offer discounts on certain items purchased using credit/debit cards or net banking payments. Finally, this integration would also allow Flipkart to offer its own products/services at lower rates since it already has relationships with the banks that issue credit/debit cards or provide net banking services. Therefore, it can charge lower rates for these services than other retailers like Amazon or Snapdeal, who do not have relationships with banks like HDFC Bank or ICICI Bank.

The process to integrate Flipkart and Alegra may seem complicated and intimidating. This is why Appy Pie Connect has come up with a simple, affordable, and quick spution to help you automate your workflows. Click on the button below to begin.
