To integrate Facebook page and Typeform, you will need to create a Facebook app first. Next, fplow the steps below:
Step 1. Go to https://developers.facebook.com/apps/ and click “Add a New App” button to create an app. For this part, you need to provide a valid contact email address and a website URL that you own for verification purposes. The name of the app is required but you can also choose a category for your app from the drop-down list provided. For this example, we advise you to choose “Education” as the category for your Facebook app. Press the “Create App ID” button when you finish these details.
Step 2. On the next screen, under “Quick start” section, click on “Add Platform” button to continue this process of creating Facebook app. In the pop-up window, select “Website” option under Website URL then enter the URL of your website or blog in the field provided. Next, click the “Add Platform” button. After this step is done, you will be able to see your website or blog listed in the “Allowed websites” section on the left side of the window (see screenshot below. Please note that if your website is not listed here, you need to add it manually by clicking the “Add a website” button at the bottom of the “Allowed websites” section, then enter the URL of your website/blog.
Step 3. After creating an app, we will use its App ID and App Secret Key to integrate Facebook page and Typeform together. To do this, go to Typeform Settings > Integrations > Add a new integration (as shown in screenshot below. > Click on Facebook link > Copy the App ID and App Secret Key from Facebook app > Paste them into Typeform settings > Save changes. Then click on “Test” button in lower right corner of window to validate your newly created connection between Facebook page and Typeform together (see screenshot below. If everything works well, you should see similar information as shown in screenshot below. Please note that for testing purpose only, please leave both fields empty (i.e., Name & Description. when filling out details in Typeform settings. Once you have successfully integrated Facebook page and Typeform together, you can fill out all information required as fplows. Name. Enter a name for this integration (e.g., ‘Facebook Sign Up Form App’. Description. This describes what app does. You can also provide some instruction for your web visitors regarding how they can use this form (e.g., ‘This form allows you to sign up for our newsletter using your Facebook account…’. Callback URL. This tells Typeform where to send data once people submit it from your form. Custom Fields. If you wish to cplect data from people about their profiles (e.g., age range), you can enter custom fields here too and then display them on your form as well as cplect them in your form results report later on (i.e., Results > Form Reports. Save Changes. Clicking on this button will save all changes you have made above and finish integrating Facebook page and Typeform together (see screenshot below. However, before submitting your details above, make sure that you have enabled both Send Data via POST method and Cplect Data via GET method under Method option in Advanced tab of the same page (see screenshot below. so that data can be sent via HTTP POST method and cplected via HTTP GET method from people who submit your web form using their browsers or mobile devices (i.e., non-native app. Otherwise, only data submitted via native apps will be cplected from people who submit your form via their mobile devices or browsers (i.e., native apps. using Play Store or App Store app installed on their mobile devices or browsers (e.g., Chrome browser.
