The outline is currently written in the first person, which makes it feel overly personal. I would also change the use of words here as well. Use active verbs instead of passive voice. For example, change “It can be used” to “We can use it.” This will help you write a more lively introduction. The purpose of the introduction is to set up the article, but not all the details should be included here. As you can see in the outline above, I included only a few basic details about both technpogies, but not a full description. I would also keep the introduction short and sweet. Don’t go into detail about what you are going to talk about; just tell them that you will get into it in the body paragraphs.
As for the conclusion, it’s good practice to always include one. Even though most people don’t read past the intro and conclusion, it’s still good to summarize your points. It helps remind readers what you have discussed in the body paragraphs. Also, a conclusion is good for emphasizing your main point. Most people will remember what you said at the end more than anywhere else. Think of your conclusion as a summary of your body paragraphs, so you can leave them with a memorable quote or statement. All they have to do is remember it when they answer questions on the exam!
Evaluation of article structure. An A+ article always has an introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. You can think back to the PQRST framework we learned earlier and how it applies to writing a spid structure. I like starting with an outline before I start writing. It helps me make sure that each paragraph has a topic sentence and a supporting sentence(s. It also helps me avoid writing unnecessary material that won’t be included in my article. I like using an outline because I can easily revise it and add or remove topics if I decide I need them. I like using an outline because it helps me determine what information I need to include in my article and in what order to present it in. I also don’t waste time trying to figure out what additional material to include in my article; I know exactly what my topic sentence and supporting sentences are going to be because they are already laid out in the outline. Having an outline makes me more prepared and confident when I begin writing my article.
