Integration of Facebook Lead Ads and OpsGenie

Facebook Lead Ads is a powerful top that allows you to build Facebook Campaigns directly within the Facebook Ads Manager. You can then target your audience based on your company’s existing data. Since the data is already in Facebook, you don’t need to create another database.

The goal of this post is to show how you can integrate Facebook Lead Ads with OpsGenie to get more customers and reduce your marketing costs.

Facebook Lead Ads is a powerful top that allows you to create Facebook Campaigns directly within the Facebook Ads Manager. You can then target your audience based on your company’s existing data. Since the data is already in Facebook, you don’t need to create another database.

Let’s say that your company sells monitoring services for websites. You can create an ad campaign that targets website owners who are interested in server monitoring software. The campaign will be shown to website owners who entered keywords related to server monitoring in their about pages. This way, you know that when you get a sale, it is likely because you are offering what the website owner needs.

For this post, I created a test Facebook Lead Ads account where I will setup a campaign targeting website owners who are interested in server monitoring software. I created a webpage to use as my landing page. This page has a form that cplects contact information from website owners who are interested in learning more about our service.

I then installed the Facebook lead generation app into OpsGenie’s account. The app was created by our partner, Jelastic, who provided us with the demo data for this post. Below is the screenshot of the app installed in OpsGenie’s account. You can see that the app has two tabs. Dashboard and Settings. The dashboard tab shows the statistics for your campaigns, while the settings tab allows you to configure the app by adding information about your company, your email domain, etc.

Below is an example of what a campaign looks like when it is configured in Facebook Lead Ads. I will also discuss the benefits of integrating Facebook Lead Ads with OpsGenie.

With this integration, we can do three things:

When a website owner signs up on our landing page via Facebook Lead Ads, we can automatically create an alert about this new alert and assign it to a user or team that we specify. When a website owner clicks on our landing page and requests more information about our service, we can automatically create an alert about this new alert and assign it to a user or team that we specify. When a website owner completes our contact form and sends us their contact information, we can automatically create an alert about this new alert and assign it to a user or team that we specify.

The Integration Process:

Step 1. Go to the Settings tab of the Facebook lead generation app and click on “Integrations”. There, you will see a button called “Connect Integration”:

Step 2. Click on “Connect Integration” and choose “OpsGenie Integration” from the list:

Step 3. Create an OpsGenie application and provide permission for Facebook Lead Ads access to it:

Step 4. Enter your OpsGenie API Key and Secret Key:

Step 5. Test your new integration by clicking on “Test” under “Test Your Integration” section:
