MongoDB is a NoSQL database which is used to store large amount of data. It supports document based data model. The main benefit of using this database is that it is schemaless, which means it has no fixed schema for defining the structure of the data, so we can easily add new fields without affecting the existing data. So, how does this help us? In this case, to integrate Facebook Lead Ads with MongoDB, firstly, we need to create a Facebook app. For this, we need to create an application on developer.facebook.com. After creating the application, we will get the credentials such as client ID and client secret. We will be using these credentials later while integrating Facebook Lead Ads with MongoDB. After creating an application, we need to create a postback Webhook URL for our application. This URL has to be accessible from anywhere and should not expire. To create a postback URL, go to Settings > Basic and copy the Webhook URL. After that, we will go to our application on Facebook and click on 'Lead Ads' tab. Then we have to navigate to 'Add Campaign' button and select our app from the dropdown menu. Then we will get the Lead Ad creation form. In the form, we need to enter the name of our campaign and specify whether or not we want to display a custom landing page.
After that, we will choose the conversion type of our campaign, which can be website or event. It depends on what kind of conversion we want from the leads generated by our ad. After that, we will enter the destination URL which is hosted by our application and after that enter the Webhook URL which we got in step 3 above.
Now we will set up our billing information such as currency type, billing cycle duration and billing schedule
After all these processes, our Facebook Lead Ads integration with MongoDB is ready!
