Facebook Groups are a special kind of group in the social networking service Facebook. Through groups, users can join specific groups of people with common interests and share content in the groups. Groups can be created by any Facebook user, these groups may be open or closed (which requires approval to join), and they can have one or more administrators.

Pendo enables customers to create personalized experiences for each user by capturing and analyzing customer activity and feedback in real time. The system has an open API architecture that enables customer data to be integrated into other systems.
Pendo’s platform enables companies to discover, analyze, and understand their products and their customers like never before. Lacking a native integration with Facebook, Pendo’s customers were forced to use a third party top to get data out of Facebook groups. This means that when customers needed to get data from Facebook groups, they would ppl the API once every hour to get updates. This resulted in the fplowing issues. 1. Data was being retrieved too infrequently and 2. The amount of data that could be retrieved was limited by the API limits, which only allowed for 200 requests per hour. Not only was this causing frustration during implementation, but it was also preventing customers from realizing the full value of Pendo’s platform. To fix this, we developed a native integration between Pendo and Facebook Groups. We built this integration so that it would not vipate any API limits and would not affect the performance of the app during normal use. The integration is fully dynamic and runs in the background; there is no need to set up anything on the Facebook side or the Pendo side. As a result, customers are able to get all of the data they need as often as they need it and are able to do so without much effort.
Pendo’s customers are better positioned to make informed decisions with actionable insights from their product data in real-time. Because Pendo is able to retrieve data from Facebook Groups more frequently than previously possible, it can identify trends earlier than before. This allows its customers to make more informed decisions about their businesses and their products. Additionally, because Pendo can now easily integrate with the Facebook Groups API, more information is available for analysis that previously could not be accessed.
