In this article I will talk about why Facebook Groups and MongoDB Realm should be integrated. Facebook Groups is a great way to build social communities and build relationships. But there are still some flaws. For example, the groups can only have their own database. This means that each group can only have its own data. The administrator of a group can’t access other groups’ data. Another problem is that if the administrator wants to leave the group, all the data in the group will be lost. And that is the reason why Facebook Groups and MongoDB Realm should be integrated.
In order to integrate Facebook Groups and MongoDB Realm, we need to first figure out what can be achieved by integrating Facebook Groups and MongoDB Realm. Then we need to find the problem of integration of Facebook Groups and MongoDB Realm, and finally come up with an approach for it.
There are several key points which should be addressed when integrating Facebook Groups and MongoDB Realm. They are:
All the users of a group can access all the data in the group;
The users of a group can change the access permissions of other users;
The administrator can access the data of other groups;
The administrator can set up notifications on the members’ changes, like new posts, new messages, etc.;
The users of a group can post messages as well as pictures, videos, links and others;
The users of a group can edit or delete their own posts;
Facebook Groups and MongoDB Realm don’t currently have any ways to connect with each other. For example, I can’t access the data of another group. From the above analysis we can see that there is no way to achieve these things, so we need to figure out a way to do this . So we need to use API and schema migration . We plan to use API for accessing the data from one group to another group. And we plan to use schema migration for changing the namespace of table in existing groups. We also plan to add the ability to filter specific users from the list of users when importing data from one group to another group .
