Facebook Groups are social networking pages which enable users to create and administer a group. These groups can be visible to the public or they can be created as secret groups that only members of the group can view.
Kanban Top is a web application which facilitates the management of workflow in software development teams. It offers features like task and project board, visual work flow charts, team communication, and project management tops.
kanban Top can be integrated with Facebook Groups using webhooks. Webhooks are HTTP callbacks issued by applications to inform other applications of events that have occurred. In this case, webhooks will notify kanban Top whenever a new event occurs on Facebook Groups. This will result in synchronization of data from Facebook Groups to kanban Top. The fplowing are the steps that need to be fplowed for integration:
Step 1. Create an account at kanban Top.
Step 2. Go to the “Apps” menu on the left side menu bar. Click on “Create New App” button. A window will appear where you will have to enter details like your name, email address and password. You will also have to choose whether it is a public app or not. You can find more details about how to create an app at https://www.kanbantop.com/getting-started/overview/create-app/. You can also refer to this video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6EOG2iYrW4&t=3s.
After you create an app, you will see a list of apps which you have created or have access to. Click on “Home” icon from the left side menu bar. Then click on “Integrations” tab from the top menu bar. Click on “Add New Integration” button. Then select the type of integration as “Webhooks” from the drop down menu next to “Type” field. A second drop down menu will appear where you will have to select “Facebook Group” from the list of integrations. Then click on “Next Step” button to proceed further.
Now you will have to enter information related to Facebook Group settings such as “Webhook URL”, “Secret Key”, “Custom Request URLs” and “Event List”. You can find more details about creating an app at https://www.kanbantop.com/docs/integrations/facebook-group/. You can also watch this video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fz0XD5kCdV0&t=8s&list=PLMbfIpNx5jgn9_mJ0COyhLrKFmv6oTx76&index=16&tstart=0&tend=127 .
You will also have to add a Webhook URL for each Event List you want to monitor. For example, if you want to monitor all Event Lists, then you can enter https://your-kanbantop-url/webhooks/get?event_list=all&page=1&per_page=100 . Similarly, if you want to monitor only the Events of a specific Event List, then you can enter https://your-kanbantop-url/webhooks/get?event_list=<Event List Name>&page=1&per_page=100 . Remember that kanban Top displays 100 events per page. If there are more than 100 events in an Event List, then you will have to specify page number in the URL so that kanban Top can retrieve the remaining events from the same Event List.
Once you have entered all the required information, click on “Save Changes” button and then click on “View Code” button. You will now get a code snippet which you need to copy and paste into your website or blog code in order to complete the integration process.
