Integration of Evernote and Webex Meetings

Evernote is a content management system that helps people organize ideas and information. Evernote allows users to create notes, capture ideas, and save anything from web pages to photos from cellphones. Evernote’s product line includes Evernote for Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows Mobile, BlackBerry, and WebOS. In addition to the individual products, Evernote offers a few other products:

Evernote Business. A new offering from Evernote designed specifically for teams and businesses of all sizes. This service allows companies of any size to set up a space where everyone can share and cplaborate. It also lets users save new notes to a shared notebook automatically through their email address.

Evernote Food. A free app that helps anyone plan meals on the go. The app makes it easy to save recipes from anywhere online. It then organizes these into a cplection that makes it easy to browse, search, and add recipes to a personal inventory or wish list.

Evernote Hello. A free app that allows users to share text, pictures, and videos with anyone else who has the app installed. It also lets users send and save notes and reminders in Evernote.

Evernote Peek. A free app that lets users capture and share pictures and videos with friends and family. It also provides real-time updates when people are nearby.

The three core products that allow users to take notes, capture web clippings and images, and sync them across devices include. Scannable (mobile), Skitch (desktop), and Penultimate (tablet. Each of these apps is available for free in the Apple® App Store℠ or Google Play™ store. Each application offers a different way of capturing content. Scannable is an image scanner and editor in one; Skitch lets users draw and annotate screenshots; and Penultimate is a digital writing top. Evernote has two main ways of organizing content within its program. fpders and stacks. Within each fpder are subfpders that are labeled by content type, such as documents, tasks, meetings, photos, research, etc. Within each subfpder are individual notes. Stacks are made up of multiple notes, notebooks, or both. Stacks are organized by date or subject matter.

For example, if you have a stack called “Tasks” that contains notes that are spreadsheets or other documents that don’t necessarily belong together but need to be found together you can use the “Stackify” feature which will combine all items within the stack into one list view without losing the individual formats of each document within the stack. This feature makes it possible to customize your lists so they display exactly how you want them displayed based on what each note format supports. For example, you can set up a task list so that it displays tasks with due dates first making it easier to see what needs to be done first.

Evernote has many features including full text search, tag support (which helps organize notes based on tags like “work” or “family”), offline access (which allows users to access notes even when they are not connected to the internet), cloud sync (which allows users to sync notes across multiple devices at once), location awareness (which allows users to tag notes with location information like “home” or “work”), geotagging (which allows users to attach geographic coordinates to notes), OCR (which allows users to take pictures of physical documents using their camera phone or mobile device), sharing (which allows users to share content with others), labeling (to help organize notes based on user defined criteria), note templates (which allow users to create templates for specific types of content like business plans), cross-platform syncing (which allows users to sync across multiple platforms like iOS devices, Android phones/tablets, Windows Phones/Tablets, Mac computers/iPads/iPhone/iPod touch), calendar integration (which allows users to link meeting notes with Google Calendar entries so attendees can see all relevant information about meetings in one place. etc.

As for cloud synchronization, Evernote has many options including full-screen reading mode which provides well-formatted text for reading long notes or documents from multiple sources on your computer or tablet; automatic text recognition which lets users snap photos of text from books or magazines and have it formatted as editable text within seconds; speech-to-text conversion which lets users dictate notes into their devices; location-based reminders which let users know where they left their keys or wallet by sending them a notification with their current location; tag mapping which lets users assign tags to photos without having to rename them; web clippings which let users save webpages directly into their account; rich text formatting which lets users format text using styles like headings, bulleted lists, links, etc.; HTML support which lets users import both HTML formatted files as well as plain text files; advanced search features which allow users to find documents containing specific words or phrases within a certain date range as well as search across notebooks as well as individual notes; auto-backup features which automatically back up content whenever changes are made so they will never lose anything again; tagging support which allows users to tag contents with keywords for future retrieval; attachments which let users attach files from their hard drives directly into Evernote making it easier to save important information instead of just saving a link to a file somewhere on the internet; quick capture which lets users quickly capture pictures or screen shots; drag-and-drop functionality which lets users drag things like pictures from their desktop directly into Evernote without having to open any programs; web clipping which allows users to clip webpages directly into their account; OCR support which recognizes text within images; Personal Analytics which allow users to track their productivity; password protection; network security; import/export options; versioning; tags; commenting; scheduled sync; encryption; translation; workflow automation; cross platform support (Mac OS X 10+, Windows 7+, Linux 2+); offline storage (only on some devices); and more!
