Briefly describe what Eventbrite and Zendesk are:
Eventbrite is a software company that provides an online service platform that allows users to conspidate event-related information and sales tops. For example, the Eventbrite platform can be used to create, manage and promote events. In 2012, Eventbrite was acquired for $167 million by European media company, Axel Springer SE.
Zendesk is a software company that provides communication and customer support services to businesses worldwide. It is headquartered in San Francisco, California and has offices in Europe, Asia and Australia. Zendesk’s customers include companies such as eBay, Google, Uber and Airbnb. The company was founded by Mikkel Svane and Tristan Jehan in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2007. In 2015, Zendesk was acquired for $2.8 billion by Salesforce.
In 2014, Eventbrite and Zendesk announced the integration of their two platforms. This integration enables users of both platforms to create accounts on either platform using the same email address and password. Businesses can use the Eventbrite platform to create events and purchase tickets for these events using Zendesk’s ticketing integration feature. Furthermore, it enables Zendesk users to access data from their Eventbrite account via their Zendesk dashboard. This integration enables users of both platforms to easily manage all the data related to a single event from a single user interface. Eventbrite typically charges its clients between 4% and 8% per transaction completed through its platform (as of January 2016. However, this cost is reduced or eliminated if the client uses a certain number of Eventbrite features or makes a certain value of transactions.
As part of the integration between Eventbrite and Zendesk, both platforms’ users are now able to transfer payment information from Zendesk to Eventbrite or vice versa. This means that businesses do not have to re-enter their payment details when they want to make a purchase on either platform. Instead, they can use the credentials they created for either platform on the other platform. Therefore, businesses can now pay for tickets with their existing payment details without having to re-enter their credit card information or other payment details each time a purchase is made on one of the platforms. This integration is particularly beneficial for businesses that frequently need to pay for large numbers of tickets because it reduces the time associated with making payments using the two platforms. Furthermore, it saves businesses from having to enter their payment details every time they make a purchase on one of the platforms.
The integration of Zendesk and Eventbrite also enables users of both platforms to send invite requests from their Zendesk account to contacts on their Eventbrite account. For example, if a user wants to invite someone to an event hosted using the Eventbrite platform, they can send them an invite request using their Zendesk account instead of having to send an invite request using their Eventbrite account. This feature is beneficial since it eliminates the need to send multiple messages during the course of arranging events hosted using different platforms that are not integrated with each other (such as Eventbrite and MailChimp. Instead, users of both platforms can send invite requests from one platform (e.g., Zendesk. to contacts on another platform (e.g., Eventbrite. This feature can also help reduce the amount of time users spend sending invite requests because they no longer have to enter contact details into separate invite request forms on separate platforms (e.g., sending an invite request using an invite request form on the MailChimp platform and sending an invite request using an invite request form on the Eventbrite platform. Instead, they can simply send an invite request using an already existing invite request form on one platform (e.g., the Zendesk platform. while identifying the person they wish to send an invite request to by name or email address in that form (see Figure 1 below.

The integration between Zendesk and Eventbrite also enables users of both platforms to share contact details stored on one platform with contacts stored in another platform. For example, if a user wants to create an event in their Eventbrite account but does not have the phone number of the participant who will be attending that event, they can search for that participant’s email address or name in their Zendesk account (if they have an account on that platform. or on LinkedIn (if they have an account there. If that participant’s contact details are stored in either their Zendesk or LinkedIn account, they can copy those details into their Eventbrite account so that they can include them in the information about their event (see Figure 2 below. This feature can help save time when creating events because users no longer have to search for contact details on multiple different platforms (e.g., searching for contact details in their Eventbrite account and searching for contact details in their LinkedIn account. Instead, they can search for contact details across multiple platforms from within one platform (e.g., searching for contact details in their Zendesk account. Furthermore, this feature can also help users avoid making mistakes when entering contact details by ensuring that they are entering accurate details about attendees into their event’s information section.

Integration between two platforms often results in increased benefits for users of these platforms. For example, integration between Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp Messenger resulted in increased benefits for users of both platforms because WhatsApp users could now communicate with Facebook Messenger users without requiring those users to install WhatsApp on their mobile devices (texting limitations require most iPhone users to install WhatsApp. Integration between Dropbox Paper and Google Docs resulted in increased benefits for both Dropbox Paper and Google Docs users because documents created using Google Docs could now be exported as PDF files using Dropbox Paper in addition to being copied into Dropbox Paper fpders as before (previously only documents created using Dropbox Paper itself could be exported as PDF files. Many companies across various industries currently use integration strategies in order to increase revenue and/or increase market share because integration often results in increased benefits for both companies as well as their customers/clients/consumers/users/members/subscribers etcetera.
