EngageBay is an app that allows you to schedule events from many different calendars at once. This is convenient for people who use many different types of calendars, such as Google Calendar, iCloud, and Exchange. However, with macOS Calendar, you only need one calendar app. But you can still use EngageBay for a more advanced scheduling experience.
macOS Calendar is the default application for creating and managing your calendar on macOS. It’s very simple and easy to use. When you launch the app, you’ll see weeks that have already passed along with a scrpling list of scheduled events. You can view your schedule by week, day, or month in the main window. Additionally, you can view your calendar in a sidebar so that you don’t even need to open the main window to see your schedule. The sidebar also allows you to quickly switch between calendars if you use multiple ones.
In EngageBay, you can integrate your Google Calendar and Exchange Calendar into an event on macOS Calendar. That means that any event you set up in Google Calendar or Exchange will also appear in the macOS Calendar sidebar. You can also create events in EngageBay and save them to your macOS Calendar. You can even add a reminder to the event so that it will pop up on your MacBook’s screen as a pop-up alert or an alarm sound when it’s time to go to a meeting. If you make a change to any of your calendar events within EngageBay, that change will also sync with macOS Calendar, updating its calendar entry accordingly. This helps ensure that Apple’s calendar stays updated with all of your schedule changes.
Having EngageBay integrated directly into macOS Calendar takes away the need for another calendar app. While EngageBay does offer some additional functionality such as reminders and syncing with other calendars, it’s not necessary if you can get by with just the features present in macOS Calendar. Having both apps would be redundant and take up space on your hard drive unnecessarily. Furthermore, having EngageBay always open as a separate tab in macOS would be too distracting since you’d constantly have to open and close the app depending on whether you want to create an event or see your calendar in the sidebar. By integrating EngageBay into macOS Calendar, you can get rid of the extra app without losing out on any functionality.
