  • I provide an example in this post, but you will want to create your own.

    • Create a Table of Contents for the Paper

Next, you will want to create a table of contents for your paper. You can do that in Word or Google Docs, or just by creating headings in your outline. All you need to do is list each section in order.

    • Write the Introduction

The introduction gives the reader all the information they need in order to understand the argument you are making. You might also call this the “hook” or “grabber.” It should be short and sweet – probably only a couple of sentences. Your goal is to get people interested in reading more!

    • Write the Body Paragraphs

In the body paragraphs, you will go into more detail about each of the three parts of your paper – introduction, topic, and conclusion. Each of these paragraphs should have a clear topic sentence that includes a thesis statement. And each paragraph should have a clear structure – a topic sentence that leads into the main body of information, then a conclusion that summarizes that information. The body paragraphs can be as long as you want – just remember that each one should have a topic sentence and a conclusion! In most cases, it is best to use 3-5 body paragraphs. But if the paper requires it, or if there is enough information for more, go ahead and include additional body paragraphs.

    • Write the Conclusions Paragraph(s)

In some papers, there will be one conclusion paragraph at the end of your paper. In other papers, there may be multiple conclusions – one at the end of each body paragraph or even after each body paragraph. These conclusions serve as a summary of the points made in the body paragraphs. They might restate some points from the body paragraphs, but they don’t have to repeat everything. These conclusions can be short or long – just make sure they summarize everything you said in the paper!

    • Proofread and Edit Your Paper

Once you have written your paper, you will want to proofread and edit it before submitting it. This means that you need to read through your paper and look for mistakes and awkward phrasing and language usage. You can do this with a friend or teacher – someone who will help you identify problems and give you suggestions on how to fix them. Even if you hire a writer to write your article, check it over before you submit it or hand it in! You want your writing to be as clean as possible so that you maximize your score on the assignment!
