Downtime Alert

Downtime Alert is an application that monitors the uptime of your website and alerts you when your website goes offline.

Integration of EngageBay and Downtime Alert

To integrate EngageBay and Downtime Alert, go to the EngageBay dashboard and select “Integrations” from the left-side menu. After that, click on the “add integration” button under the “ORGANIC CHANNELS” section. There, select Downtime Alert from the list of available integrations. A pop-up will appear asking you to authorize access to the Downtime Alert API. Click on “Authorize” and then select the application that you want to integrate with. In this case, we will choose “Downtime Alert”. A pop-up will appear with your app credentials. Copy them and paste them in a safe place on your computer or any other device where you can access them in the future. Then click “Save”.

Benefits of Integration of EngageBay and Downtime Alert

EngageBay allows you to create a variety of marketing campaigns such as remarketing, retargeting, email marketing campaigns, push notification campaigns, etc. It also enables you to gather data about your website users and offers lots of integrations for social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Flicker, Google My Business, etc. Downtime Alert offers you two options for sending e-mail alerts:

  • Single E-mail Alert. If you want to send an e-mail alert when your website goes offline, simply select this option from the list and fplow the steps above. When your website goes offline, an e-mail will be sent to the address that you entered after you authorized access to the Downtime Alert API. You can receive the email on your desktop or mobile device.
  • Scheduled E-mail Alerts. Also called Infrequent E-mail Alerts, this option will send you an e-mail every 24 hours when your website goes offline until it comes back online again. If there is no downtime during the 24 hour period, then no e-mail alert will be sent to you at all.
