Also, businesses do not need to contact web developers or designers for updating any settings related to shipping since Ecwid has everything under contrp and businesses just need to click on a particular type of shipping method from Shipping page and set up appropriate price for each shipping type depending on location where customer needs the product delivered and then they need to submit the changes made by them by clicking on Save button present at bottom right corner of Shipping page otherwise business owners can remain with default settings of that particular shipping method and Ecwid will take care of everything else including displaying appropriate price on checkout page based on customer’s location etc. Businesses can also set up custom rates for each shipping method if they do not want to use default settings offered by Ecwid for specific type of shipping method but it is recommended that they should confirm with web developers or designers about custom rates set up by them before making any change since custom rates depend upon the weight unit selected for each product and this may result in overcharging by some amount if wrong weight unit has been selected during customization process. If default settings are changed or any custom rate has been set up for any particular shipping method then it will override the default settings offered by default settings section so there will be no need for contacting web developers or designers regarding any change made by businesses about shipping methods. Also, businesses can select locations from Location page which is available at left hand side menu under Settings section where they can add multiple locations by selecting state or country from drop down list provided then entering address in address field and then clicking on Save button present at bottom right corner of screen after which they will be able to select any location from list which they created earlier and assign shipping cost accordingly after clicking on Save button again then submitting changes done by them by clicking on Save Changes button present at bottom right corner of screen. It is recommended that when businesses select locations from Location page then they should always select locations from Change Locations tab available at left hand side menu under Locations section since it will override all custom settings made by businesses about locations so there will be no confusion later on about locations added by businesses while creating multiple locations on Location page. Businesses can also add custom location directly from Change Locations section if they want but it is recommended that whenever possible then they should always select locations from Change Locations tab because it will automatically show all previously added locations along with newly added locations selected by them so there will be no confusion about previously added locations or newly added locations later on when they go into Locations section from left hand side menu under Settings section and try to update any location individually as shown below:
