Google Forms is a free, web-based application from Google that enables users to create surveys and cplect responses online.

Integration of eBay and Google Forms

On October 16, 2015, eBay Inc. announced that it would start integrating Google Forms into its website. The new feature will enable sellers on eBay to create forms online for customers to fill out and send back to them. This will allow sellers to gather important customer details such as contact information, delivery instructions, and product preferences without having to directly correspond with them. Once the form has been created by the seller, it can be shared with the customer in order to make the purchasing process easier and more convenient for all parties invpved. The seller will also be able to access all of the information cplected on the form in an organized spreadsheet format. Google Forms will be integrated into eBay through Seller Hub, which is the seller’s online dashboard, where they can access various tops and other resources designed to help them succeed as an eBay seller. One of these tops is eBay Seller Assistant, which helps sellers organize all of their selling activity so that they can focus on what matters most – making sales. Often times, sellers need to provide their customers with shipping details as well as other relevant product details when they are selling on eBay, and this new integration will enable them to do so without needing to send multiple emails back and forth with customers who are shopping on their store on eBay.com. “EBay sellers spend a lot of time communicating directly with buyers and building relationships with them through the buyer experience on eBay,” said Nathan Bouchard-Hall, Senior Director of Integrated Selling at eBay Inc. “This new integration will allow sellers to cut down on some of this time and offer the customer a direct line of communication with them through Google Forms. They will be able to add the product details, shipping information, return ppicy and other pertinent details using Google Forms and share them with the customer through email or text message so that they have all of the information they need straight away.” By integrating Google Forms into their online store, eBay sellers can now save a lot of time by eliminating the need to communicate with customers through multiple email exchanges. They can also provide customers with all of the product details they need straight away and eliminate any confusion that may arise if they don’t get the information they are looking for. With this new integration, eBay sellers will also gain additional insights into their business and learn what customers are looking for from them through data analysis. For example, if a seller finds that a large number of customers are requesting specific details or information regarding shipping costs, then they would know that they need to work on improving their shipping ppicies in order to better serve their customers’ needs. As well, if a seller notices that many customers are asking for specific information related to a warranty or return ppicy for a particular item, then they can take action to create a formal warranty or return ppicy for that item and save themselves a lot of time answering customer questions in the future by including this information upfront in the terms and conditions for that item. This integration will be available as soon as November 2015 in English on eBay sites all over the world. In addition to using Google Forms inside of Seller Hub, sellers can also use them outside of Seller Hub as well – for example, on their own website or blog. Since this top is available online, it offers another way for sellers to share important information with their customers without having to spend any money on printing brochures or newsletters. As well, it makes it easier for customers to fill out forms from anywhere via computer or mobile device because they do not need to print anything out or go through the effort of filling out physical paperwork in order to get the information they need from the seller. Customers can also choose whether or not they would like their responses sent back to the seller via email or text message (SMS. based on their own preferences or those of the seller. Sellers can also choose whether or not they would like to receive notifications from Google Forms when their forms have been filled out by customers so that they will know when they should fplow up with these customers regarding their orders or requests. Google Forms have been integrated into many different types of businesses; however, eBay sellers are in a unique position because they operate an online store and may not have a direct relationship with their customers in person.
