Integrate Microsoft Dynamics CRM with Zoho Cliq

I would like to discuss the integration of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Zoho Cliq in this article. The reason I am doing this is because I am a programmer who does not want to be stuck in one system. I like both systems and would like to make use of them both. I have come to the realization that they are one in the same, at least in terms of what I can do with them.

I will begin discussing the integration of these two applications by stating that it is possible, but somewhat difficult. For reasons of security, passwords are not exchanged between the two programs when integrating them. If you want to integrate your Zoho Cliq account with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, you will need to go through a series of steps that include creating a new user. This is quite easy and only takes a few minutes to complete.

You can create a new user from the Zoho Cliq contrp panel. This is very easy to do and does not require much technical knowledge on your part. After creating the new user, you will need to set up a new Zoho Cliq app for this user. For the purposes of this article, we will call this user “Zoho”. You will then need to go into the Admin page of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and create a new user as well. We will call this user “CRM”. Now that you have both users ready for integration, you will need to set up a new AppLink connection in Zoho Cliq. This is done from the Apps tab in Zoho Cliq and choosing “Manage Apps” from the drop down menu.

When you select “Manage Apps” from the drop down menu, Zoho Cliq will offer you the option to create a new AppLink connection. Simply enter the name of the new integration app as well as the name of the source system. For our purposes, we will call this source system “CRM”. Once you have saved the information about your integration app, you will need to go into Microsoft Dynamics CRM and set up an integration app there as well. Again, simply enter the name of your integration app as well as the name of your source system which we will refer to as “Zoho” for our purposes.

Once you have saved your newly created integration app in Microsoft Dynamics CRM you will be able to click on it and see exactly what fields are available for integration. You can also modify the fields and add fields here if you choose. Once you have made all of your changes, you need to save them and wait for Microsoft Dynamics CRM to upload them to your server. When this completes, go back to your Zoho Cliq app and click on the “Test Connectivity” button to see if everything works correctly. If it does work correctly, you are now ready to start using both programs together. One thing that you need to remember though is that these two programs are completely separate from each other and do not share data in any way whatsoever. What does that mean? Well, if I update my profile in Zoho Cliq and I want CRM to be updated, I must perform another action in Zoho Cliq or else there won’t be any updates in CRM.

In conclusion, I would say that the integration of these two programs is possible but very difficult. It requires a lot of work on your part as well as patience since some things might not work right away or at all depending on what you are trying to do. The benefits are something that only you can decide on however I would state that they are almost limitless in their possibilities so long as you are willing to put in the time required to learn how to use them both together.
