The top covers many aspects of customer engagements such as tracking contacts and leads, managing campaigns, managing cases and so on. In this section we will describe each integration point between the two tops.

Integration of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Monkey Learn

The integration process works in both ways. First, the CRM top sends raw data to the Monkey Learn API where it is analyzed and classified based on the user’s needs. Then, the processed data is sent back to the CRM top which updates the database. This allows users to integrate data classification logic into their CRM spution while using a machine learning model they have built using Monkey Learn.

  • By adding fields to an existing standard object i.e. Account
  • By creating a new object from scratch i.e. Custom Object

In this blog post we will focus on a custom object that is used to classify incoming emails based on their subject lines or body texts because it is the most straightforward way of enabling users to get the most out of this integration spution.

To classify incoming emails in Dynamics CRM, we need to add a custom object that includes three fields. Subject Classification, Classification Type and Classification Label. Subject Classification is an input field that contains the email subject line as an example “New Order” or “Received Payment” etc. Classification Type is used to specify what kind of classification users want to use e.g. supervised or unsupervised classification.
