The software automates repetitive tasks, centralizes relevant data, and improves efficiency by giving users access to data from anywhere, at any time.

Integration of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Basin

The integration of Basin with Microsoft Dynamics CRM is done through the plugin built by Basis Technpogy called “Basin for MS Dynamics CRM”. This plugin provides seamless integration between Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Basin. The integration enables users to perform various actions such as:

  • It enables users to create records in Microsoft Dynamics CRM based on events captured in Basin. For example, when a contact is created in basin, a new contact will be created in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
  • It enables users to use rpe hierarchy to set permissions to access Microsoft Dynamics CRM data using their user rpes in Basin. For example, a user can have access to data only while they are working in a particular location.
  • It enables users to use system fields in Microsoft Dynamics CRM such as Product Category and Product Name in the workflow definition of a lead defined for the website. This allows you to capture product details for leads generated from the website.
  • It provides ability to define custom field on contacts in Microsoft Dynamics CRM where you can capture additional details about the people who work there or who visit your website and so on.
  • It enables you to send email notifications based on events captured in Basin. For example, you can create a workflow rule that sends an email when a new lead is created in Basin. You can also create another workflow rule that sends an email when a particular lead is marked as ‘Closed Won’ in Basin.
  • It provides ability to sync Microsoft Dynamics CRM dashboard with dashboard of web portal by default. But if you want to disable this feature then you need to go to Settings for “Basin for MS Dynamics CRM” plugin and uncheck the checkbox corresponding to “Sync Dashboards” option and save it.
  • It provides ability to sync data from Microsoft Dynamics CRM to Basin web portal. This feature comes in handy when you have large amount of data in your database and frequent data updates are not required on the dashboard screen of web portal but you still want data to be updated regularly in instances when dashboard screen is shown.
  • It provides ability to display charts on dashboard screen of web portal using data stored in Microsoft Dynamics CRM table/module without requiring any modifications in existing dashboards of web portal.
  • It also provides ability to export all data stored on every table of MS Dynamics CRM module/table into CSV file format and import it into web portal tables/modules where data has to be displayed on dashboard screen. This feature helps you avoid any data loss scenarios which may occur if you directly import data from MS Dynamics CRM module/table into web portal tables/modules (for instance, if you want to relocate your web portal environment from one server to another server.
  • It provides ability to synchronize data from web portal to MS Dynamics CRM module/table. Using this feature, you can create activities such as “Send Email Campaign”, “Call Campaign” etc during pre-launch phase of the campaign and they will automatically get added as activities during the execution phase of the campaign on Microsoft Dynamics CRM dashboard screen so that you can track them easily.
  • It provides ability to capture lead qualification process using workflow rules created in Basin which can be used by sales team during the qualification process of the lead. Using this feature, you can create workflow rules such as “Automatically add Lead Status = In Progress” during pre-qualification phase of lead and it will automatically get added as an activity during the final stage of qualification process of lead on Microsoft Dynamics CRM dashboard screen so that you can track it easily.
  • It provides ability to capture marketing campaign response process using activities created in Basin which can be carried out by sales team once productivity criteria specified for each activity are met or exceeded during the campaign evaluation stage of marketing campaign response process based on activities created in Basin.
