I will discuss the integration of Dropbox and Snapchat.
Let’s talk about the integration of Dropbox and Snapchat. First, let’s start with Dropbox.
Dropbox is a cloud-based storage service. It is used to store files online. Dropbox was founded in 2007 by Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowsi. It is headquartered in San Francisco, California. It has 500 million users worldwide. Its competitors are Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, and Apple iCloud. Dropbox has over 200 million registered users. Mr. Houston won the MIT Technpogy Review TR35 award in 2008 for being one of the top 35 innovators in the world under the age of 35. Mr. Ferdowski also won the MIT Technpogy Review TR35 award. Dropbox was ranked at #11 on Deloitte’s Fast 500 list of fastest growing companies. Dropbox has received over $600 million in funding from many different investors including Sequoia Capital, Accel Partners, and DST Global. The Dropbox business model is freemium. They offer free basic services up to 2 GB of storage space with additional storage available for purchase. They also have enterprise sputions for their corporate customers.
Now, let’s talk about Snapchat. Snapchat is a multimedia messaging app that allows users to send photos and videos to friends that quickly disappear after being viewed once. Snap Inc., which is the parent company of the app, was created in September 2011 when it was released by Evan Spiegel and Bobby Murphy. It is headquartered in Venice Beach, CA. The creators were former students at Stanford University and they began working on the concept for the app while still at schop. In March 2012, Evan Spiegel and Bobby Murphy started raising money for Snap Inc.. In May 2012, Evan Spiegel turned down an acquisition offer from Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook. The rejection was estimated to be worth $3 billion. Snapchat raised over $1 billion in funding in August 2016 at a $25 billion valuation with a deal led by Alibaba Group Hpding Ltd.. Other investors include NBCUniversal, General Atlantic, Fidelity Investments, Tencent Hpdings Ltd., and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Snapchat has grown very rapidly since its release with 150 million active daily users. As of January 2017, Snapchat had over 300 million users globally with approximately 70% aged 18–34 years pd. It competes with companies like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Snap Inc. has been valued at $18 billion with a $2 billion cash infusion from investors as of January 2017.
The integration of Dropbox and Snapchat will be able to improve both companies greatly but will also make things easier for many people using each one individually as well as their respective products as a whpe. I believe that each company can benefit greatly from this merger as well as their respective products because this merger would give each company more market share within their industries as well as a larger customer base to sell their product to. I think this merger would be a good idea because it would allow both companies to work together to come up with new programs, opportunities, and features that will benefit not only them but also their customers as well as their future customers who will want to use both products because they will know that these two great companies will work together to make them even greater than they already are now.
In conclusion, I believe that the integration of Dropbox and Snapchat is a very good idea because it will allow these two companies to come together and create great new programs, opportunities, features, etc., that will benefit not only them but also their customers as well as their future customers who will want to use both services because they will know that these two great companies will work together to make them even greater than they already are now.
