Dropbox is a cloud based storage that can be accessed from any device or platform. It stores all files, photos, videos and documents of users. Acuity Scheduling is an online booking & appointment scheduling software. It makes it easier for managing client appointments. The integration of Dropbox and Acuity Scheduling is beneficial for both providers and clients.
Adding Dropbox to your Acuity Scheduling account is easy. You can do this by simply heading to Tops > Integrations > Dropbox. Next, you will go to the Dropbox website and sign into your account. Then you will allow Acuity Scheduling to access your Dropbox account. After doing this, you will receive confirmation on the Dropbox website that the integration has been completed successfully.
All files in your Dropbox account will be displayed in your account within Acuity Scheduling. You can open any file directly from within the application by clicking on the Dropbox icon at the top of the page. This makes it convenient for editing existing files or creating new ones. This way, you will not have to keep logging into your Dropbox account every time you need to open or edit an existing file.
You can also create fpders within your Dropbox account and assign them to different pages of your Acuity Scheduling. This way, you can categorize your files according to your needs. When adding a fpder to a page, you will be able to add a description along with the fpder name. This makes it easier for clients to know what type of files they will be able to access from that page.
This integration allows you the ability to add photos from Dropbox into your calendar event details. You can add a photo to the details of a meeting by going to the Event Details page and clicking on the Dropbox icon. Then you can select a file from within your Dropbox account and add it to the details section of the event. Once you have added a photo to a meeting, it will be displayed in a preview box in the details section. Clients can then click on it to view a larger version of the photo. This feature makes it easy for clients to view event details without having to leave their browser window.
When adding a photo from Dropbox into your calendar event, you have several options for how it appears on the event detail page. You can choose to have it appear in a standard thumbnail format, in a pop-up preview window, or as a full screen preview window.
If you prefer not to use photos from Dropbox when adding them to your events, you can still use photos stored in your Dropbox account in other ways. For example, if you want to add photographs taken by attendees at an event to the event details, you can add them via URL links directly from within your Dropbox account. You can add these photos by selecting “Add Photos” from the dropdown menu on an event’s Details page and then choosing “Add Photos via URL” option from the list of options available under the “Photos” section of this menu. You will then need to type in the URL of the photo you wish to add and select “Upload” button at the bottom of this page.
Alternatively, if you do not want your attendees to take photos at an event but would like to take some yourself instead, you can upload photos from your own computer directly into Dropbox and then add them into an event’s details using Acuity Scheduling’s built-in uploading system via URL links. To do this, you will need to select “Add Photos” from the dropdown menu on an event’s Details page and then choose “Upload Photos via URL” option from the list of options available under the “Photos” section of this menu. The link you need to use will depend on whether you want the photo displayed in a pop-up preview window or as a full screen preview window on your event’s Details page. If you wish to display the photo in a pop-up preview window, you will need to type in “/preview_window_medium” after the Dropbox link in the address bar of your browser window, fplowed by the name of the photo that you want to display in the pop-up preview window. If instead you wish to display the photo as a full screen preview window on your event’s Details page, you will need to type in “/preview_window_large” after the Dropbox link in the address bar of your browser window, fplowed by the name of the photo that you want to display as a full screen preview window on your event’s Details page. Please note that only .jpg images are supported by this feature.
You can also use photos taken at events with Acuity Scheduling by uploading them into Dropbox after returning home from an event then adding them into an event’s details page through Acuity Scheduling’s built-in uploading system via URL links.
After completing these steps, click on “Upload” button at bottom of this page and then wait for a confirmation message that states that your upload has been added successfully. This confirmation message will appear below your input field once your upload is complete and can be found under “Uploaded Files” section found just below “Event Details” section found at top right hand side corner of Scheduler screen.
In addition to photos inserted into events through URLs from within Dropbox, there are other ways that photos can be included in events details as well as being attached directly from within Dropbox itself. For example, if you have used another online scheduling top before switching over to Acuity Scheduling, all elements from this previous scheduling top including photos can be imported directly into Acuity Scheduling via its import facility that can be found under Tops > Import/Export > Import Appointments into Acuity Scheduling… > Import Appointments From Your Existing Web App… > Import Appointments From Your Existing Top… > Import Appointments From Your Google Calendar… > Import Appointments From Your iCalendar (.ics. File… > Import Appointments From Your Outlook Calendar… > Import Appointments From Your PayPal Calendar… > Import Appointments From Your Salesforce Calendar… > Import Appointments From Your Salesforce CRM… > Import Appointments Into Acuity Scheduling… > Import Appointments From Your SugarCRM… > Import Appointments From Your Wufoo Form… > Import Appointments From Your Xobni Recipient List…>Import Appointments From Your .csv File…. You can also create events directly from within Dropbox by opening its web interface and clicking on ‘New Document’ icon located at top right hand side corner of its homepage and choosing ‘New Event’ option from resulting list of options presented next.
