Integration of Drip and Zoho CRM

  • Drip
  • Drip is a marketing automation top that helps you build an email list, create automated campaigns, and send targeted emails to your subscribers.

    Zoho CRM

Zoho CRM is a customer relationship management (CRM. software product. It helps businesses manage sales, marketing, support, and other customer-related information in one single system. This will help you generate leads, track sales funnel, etc.

Integration of Drip and Zoho CRM

Integrating Drip with Zoho CRM is very useful for businesses because it allows them to use both tops effectively. It can help you save time and money while increasing the efficiency of your business. In this section, I would like to discuss some benefits of integrating Drip and Zoho CRM. Hopefully, you will get clear perspective about the integration process and its benefits.

    • Drip can integrate with Zoho CRM through Zapier

Zapier is a web-based automation top that allows you to connect two apps and automate tasks between them. You can use Zapier to integrate your Drip and Zoho CRM accounts so that you can run tasks automatically. For example, you can add the email addresses from the new lead in your CRM account to your Drip list automatically. In order to integrate your Drip and Zoho CRM through Zapier, fplow these steps:

Go to Zoho CRM and sign in with your existing account or create a new one.

Now navigate to the “Zapier” tab and click on the “Authorize” button to authorize your Zoho CRM account with Zapier.

You will then be redirected to the Zapier site where you need to log in to create a new account or use an existing one. Once you are signed in, click on the “Connect” button next to the app you want to connect. When prompted, enter your API credentials and click on “Save Settings”. Now choose any task from the library of thousands of existing tasks that is relevant to you and click on “Run Selected Task”. You can also create a new task by clicking on “+ New Task” and choosing relevant apps for your task. Add your email address and click on “Next” and “Finish” when done. You have successfully created a new task that will run automatically when you perform any action in either app.

Once you have integrated your Drip and Zoho CRM accounts using Zapier, you can automate many tasks such as adding customers’ email addresses to Drip lists, deleting inactive customers from the database, updating lead status in both accounts, etc. You can find more details about how to integrate your Drip and Zoho CRM accounts through Zapier in this article. How To Integrate Zoho CRM With Drip

    • Drip can also integrate with Zoho CRM directly

You can also integrate your Drip account with Zoho CRM without using Zapier if you do not wish to use their service. In this case, you should create API credentials for each app, authorize them with each other, and then use them for integration purpose. You can get API credentials for your apps from their respective sites. The API credentials for Drip include API Key and API Secret . After getting API credentials for both apps, fplow these steps:

Navigate to API access page at https://www.zohocrm.com/api/v6/user/oauth/authorize/ Enter your API credentials for Drip account in the corresponding text boxes and click on “Continue” Check all the other required checkboxes other than “Grant Access” box Click on “Grant Access” when prompted Enter API credentials for your Zoho CRM account into corresponding text boxes Click on “Allow Access” when prompted

You have successfully integrated Drip with Zoho CRM! Now you can view all your potential leads in your Zoho CRM account by clicking on “Potential Leads” section in the left sidebar of Zoho CRM dashboard or by clicking here . This feature will be available once you assign API credentials for both apps in Zoho CRM account. Now let’s see how we can set up automation tasks between these two apps using Zapier. We will replicate what we did in step 6 of this tutorial but this time using Zapier instead of creating tasks directly in Zoho CRM account. Take a look at this article. How To Integrate Zoho CRM And Drip Without Using Zapier

    • Reactivate leads in Zoho CRM after they sign up for your email list through Drip campaign

You can re-engage leads who subscribed to your email list by sending them personalized emails when they complete certain actions in your website or mobile app. You can use automation rules in your email marketing top to set up re-engagement campaigns using webhooks. If you are using Drip for your email marketing campaigns, webhooks are called Action Hooks . Action hooks allow you to run certain automated tasks upon completion of specified actions performed by users in your website or mobile application. Action hooks are available for various activities such as form submissions, user registrations, etc., in your website or mobile application. Action hooks give you flexibility to execute different tasks based on user activity in real-time without having to rely on cron jobs or scheduled processes. Webhooks also provide rich information about user activity that includes things like user ID, name, content entered in forms before the event occurred, timestamp of event occurrence, etc. For example, if a lead signs up for your email list through a form submission form on your website or mobile app, you can run some automation rules such as sending them a welcome email or sending them an individualized broadcast message as soon as they complete the form submission process . This way you can keep reminding leads about your brand even if they do not convert right away . If they do not convert after receiving multiple reminder emails, you can delete their record from your email list using automation rules again through webhooks . So how do we automate these tasks using webhooks Let’s take a look at some examples. Example 1. Automate Welcome Email Campaign For New Subscribers Using Webhooks A new subscriber enters his/her email address directly into your email marketing campaign form located on your website or mobile app and submits the form . Here is how the final webhook request looks like. POST https://api.getdrip.com/campaigns/{campaign_id}/subscribers_added Request body { "email_address" . "[email protected]" , "subscription_type" . "email" , "subscription_status" . "active" , "subscriber_status" . "subscribed" , "subscriber_user_id" . "123456789" , "subscriber_first_name" . "John" , "subscriber_last_name" . "Doe" , "subscriber_note" . " , "subscriber_url" . " , "subscriber_customer_id" . " , "subscriber_ip_address" . "127.0.0.1" } In the above request body object, subscriber_user_id is a unique identifier that gets generated by our server . The subscriber_user_id is then used by our server to update the users record in Zoho CRM database . In this example, we will update subscriber_user_id with the value of subscriber_customer_id from our database where subscriber_customer_id is a unique identifier for each customer who registers through our email marketing campaign form . If subscriber_customer_id does not exist in our database or if it has already been deleted by us , we simply skip updating subscriber_user_id altogether . To run this automation rule using webhooks, specify Subscribe Action hook as fplows. https://api.getdrip.com/actionHooks/webhooks/subscribe Then subscribe yourself as fplows. curl -X POST https://api.getdrip.com/actionHooks/webhooks/subscribe -u {APIKey}. -H 'content-type. application/json' -d '{ "eventName". "subscribe", "eventParams". { "emailDomain". "[email protected]", "
