How To Integrate Zoho CRM And Drip Without Using Zapier
You can re-engage leads who subscribed to your email list by sending them personalized emails when they complete certain actions in your website or mobile app. You can use automation rules in your email marketing top to set up re-engagement campaigns using webhooks. If you are using Drip for your email marketing campaigns, webhooks are called Action Hooks . Action hooks allow you to run certain automated tasks upon completion of specified actions performed by users in your website or mobile application. Action hooks are available for various activities such as form submissions, user registrations, etc., in your website or mobile application. Action hooks give you flexibility to execute different tasks based on user activity in real-time without having to rely on cron jobs or scheduled processes. Webhooks also provide rich information about user activity that includes things like user ID, name, content entered in forms before the event occurred, timestamp of event occurrence, etc. For example, if a lead signs up for your email list through a form submission form on your website or mobile app, you can run some automation rules such as sending them a welcome email or sending them an individualized broadcast message as soon as they complete the form submission process . This way you can keep reminding leads about your brand even if they do not convert right away . If they do not convert after receiving multiple reminder emails, you can delete their record from your email list using automation rules again through webhooks . So how do we automate these tasks using webhooks Let’s take a look at some examples. Example 1. Automate Welcome Email Campaign For New Subscribers Using Webhooks A new subscriber enters his/her email address directly into your email marketing campaign form located on your website or mobile app and submits the form . Here is how the final webhook request looks like. POST https://api.getdrip.com/campaigns/{campaign_id}/subscribers_added Request body { "email_address" . "[email protected]" , "subscription_type" . "email" , "subscription_status" . "active" , "subscriber_status" . "subscribed" , "subscriber_user_id" . "123456789" , "subscriber_first_name" . "John" , "subscriber_last_name" . "Doe" , "subscriber_note" . " , "subscriber_url" . " , "subscriber_customer_id" . " , "subscriber_ip_address" . "127.0.0.1" } In the above request body object, subscriber_user_id is a unique identifier that gets generated by our server . The subscriber_user_id is then used by our server to update the users record in Zoho CRM database . In this example, we will update subscriber_user_id with the value of subscriber_customer_id from our database where subscriber_customer_id is a unique identifier for each customer who registers through our email marketing campaign form . If subscriber_customer_id does not exist in our database or if it has already been deleted by us , we simply skip updating subscriber_user_id altogether . To run this automation rule using webhooks, specify Subscribe Action hook as fplows. https://api.getdrip.com/actionHooks/webhooks/subscribe Then subscribe yourself as fplows. curl -X POST https://api.getdrip.com/actionHooks/webhooks/subscribe -u {APIKey}. -H 'content-type. application/json' -d '{ "eventName". "subscribe", "eventParams". { "emailDomain". "[email protected]", "
