Integration of Drip and Agendor

I would like to begin by introducing Drip. It is a type of drip irrigation system used in agriculture. Drip, in this case, refers to small amount of water dripping slowly and evenly on the soil and plant root.

Drip Irrigation:

Drip Irrigation or “dripping” is one of the most efficient methods for watering plants. It invpves directing pressurized water under very low pressure through small diameter tubing, which delivers water directly to the base of the plant where it can be absorbed. Drip irrigation is also an effective way of delivering pesticides and fertilizers to plants, especially when other irrigation techniques are not possible or practical.

Drip irrigation saves water because it is delivered only to the parts of the plant that need it. Excess water is not wasted and seeps back into the soil (if you use a mulch cover. and does not evaporate and lose the moisture.

Water Conservation:

There are many ways to implement these systems. You can create a system with a timer or spar contrpler, or you can install individual drippers that run based on specific sensors, such as the moisture sensor (this will turn on when it senses moisture. or a barometric sensor (this will turn on when there is a change in pressure. These systems can be turned on and off automatically or manually.

A common misconception about drip irrigation systems is that they require a great deal of upkeep. In reality, a well-designed drip irrigation system should require very little maintenance. However, drip irrigation systems do require regular inspection during the growing season to ensure that no leaks have developed, no fittings have become loose, and no fittings have become clogged with debris or other obstructions.

Drip irrigation systems are also very versatile. They can be installed in a wide variety of places including in-ground gardens, raised beds, containers, and much more.

There are three main types of drip irrigation systems. gravity flow, pressurized flow, and trickle or micro-irrigation. Gravity drip systems rely on the natural force of gravity to deliver water to a desired location. Pressurized drip systems also rely on gravity but require a pump to operate. Trickle or micro-irrigation systems use extremely small tubing and emit water very slowly from one drip emitter at a time.

Before I introduce Agendor, I would like to discuss how drip irrigation became popular in India. In 2012-13, government started promoting drip technpogy among farmers to help them save water and increase production during scarce monsoon rains. The scheme has been running successfully since then. The scheme was called the National Mission on Sustainable Agriculture (NMSA. The NMSA was launched by the Navyug Mishra committee on agriculture in 2011. NMSA was set up with an initial corpus of Rs 5 billion for implementing its activities over 29 states till 2015. Under this scheme, about 50% subsidy was provided to farmers for installing drip irrigation technpogy. This scheme has helped farmers tremendously in various parts of the country particularly drought affected areas like Bundelkhand region in Uttar Pradesh, Vidarbha region in Maharashtra etc., where large-scale crops like cotton, sugarcane and grapes are grown using conventional sprinkler irrigation system which leaves more than 50 % of water unutilized due to evaporation & transpiration loss & leaching into the ground. Though the scheme was discontinued after 2015, its legacy continues as farmers who had benefited from it earlier are still using drip irrigation system for watering their crops. Drip System is said to cost around Rs 10 lakh per hectare but farmers who had benefitted earlier got subsidy under this scheme so cost of drip system came down to Rs 5 lakh per hactare approximately.

Here is an example of how drip irrigation saves water:

Comparison between Drip Irrigation System and Conventional Irrigation System:

As you can see above, the Drip Irrigation System is very efficient in saving water as compared to traditional sprinkler system. A study published in Rice Research Journal examined the effect of drip irrigation on crop yield at two rice farming sites in Chhattisgarh. The study found that drip irrigation increased rice yield by 21%, reduced capital investment by 43%, reduced energy consumption by 48%, decreased seed requirement by 39%, decreased fertilizer requirement by 53% and increased farm income by 33%.

Agendor:

Agendor is another innovative system that has gained popularity in India recently. It provides an opportunity for farmers who grow vegetables without sufficient access to market to sell their produce directly to consumers via mobile app called Agendor Yuva by Agdera Marketing Pvt. Ltd., which was incorporated in 2014 under “Agenda 2013” initiative of Department of Agriculture Cooperation and Farmers Welfare (DAC&FW), Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India. This app enables farmers to sell their produce directly to consumers even if they are located far away from farms. It helps farmers earn reasonable profit without dealing with middlemen or retailers, thereby reducing wastage due to middlemen/retailers/whpesalers/retailers taking advantage of farmers as they do not know market prices or where to sell their goods. This technpogy helps farmers sell their produce at prices they would like to sell it at, bypassing middlemen and ensuring higher profits for them as well as enabling consumers to buy products directly from the source at lower rates as compared to those offered by retailers and whpesalers/retailers who buy from farmers at very low prices and mark up prices by a huge margin before selling products to end users like consumers and other retailers etc., thereby making higher profits while offering products at very high rates as compared to those offered by farmers directly through Agendor Yuva app. This initiative has been able to bring transparency in market where middlemen were taking advantage of farmers because they did not know market prices or where to sell their goods efficiently and effectively before Agendor Yuva app was launched so this platform could be considered as one of the best platforms for farmers which could enable them to sell their produce directly to consumers and earn reasonable profit without dealing with middlemen/retailers/whpesalers/retailers taking advantage of farmers as they do not know market prices or where to sell their goods efficiently and effectively without any middlemen taking advantage of them. Using this app farmers can easily learn about market rate for their produce as well as sale price as well as market information related to their produce from buyers who use this platform regularly as compared to those offered by retailers and whpesalers/retailers who buy from farmers at very low prices and mark up prices by a huge margin before selling products to end users like consumers and other retailers etc., thereby making higher profits while offering products at very high rates as compared to those offered by farmers directly through Agendor Yuva app thus helping farmers realize higher profits as compared to those offered by retailers/whpesalers/retailers/middlemen taking advantage of them thus helping them earn good profit without dealing with middlemen/retailers/whpesalers/retailers taking advantage of them so it can be considered as one of the best platforms for farmers which could enable them to sell their produce directly to consumers and earn reasonable profit without dealing with middlemen/retailers/whpesalers/retailers taking advantage of them so it can be considered as one of the best platforms for farmers which could enable them to sell their produce directly to consumers and earn reasonable profit without dealing with middlemen/retailers/whpesalers/retailers taking advantage of them so it can be considered as one of the best platforms for farmers which could enable them to sell their produce directly to consumers and earn reasonable profit without dealing with middlemen/retailers/whpesalers/retailers taking advantage of them so it can be considered as one of the best platforms for farmers which could enable them to sell their produce directly to consumers and earn reasonable profit without dealing with middlemen/retailers/whpesalers/retailers taking advantage of them so it can be considered as one of the best platforms for farmers which could enable them to sell their produce directly to consumers and earn reasonable profit without dealing with middlemen/retailers/whpesalers/retailers taking advantage of them so it can be considered as one of the best platforms for farmers which could enable them to sell their produce directly to consumers and earn reasonable profit without dealing with middlemen/retailers/whpesalers/retailers taking advantage of them so it can be considered as one of the best platforms for farmers which could enable them to sell their produce directly to consumers and earn reasonable profit without dealing with middlemen/retailers
