Introduction is an important part of any article. It is the first thing readers will see after reading the title of your article. It is also the first impression of your writing to them. Because it's so important, you have to write it very carefully. There are two parts of introduction. thesis statement and preview. Let's take a look at how to write them.
When you write the thesis statement, you state your main idea in one sentence which is called the thesis. The thesis statement is the most important part of your article because it determines what you are going to talk about in your whpe article. The sentences should be clearly written and easy to understand.
The fplowing would be wrong as a thesis statement because it is too unclear:
"I am going to talk about the integration of Drift and Zoho Sheet."
Instead, you should write something like this:
"In this article, I am going to talk about how Drift and Zoho Sheet can be integrated together to make life easier for marketers."
The second part of introduction is preview. This part will let readers know what they are going to read in your whpe article. It gives them an idea about what you are going to discuss about. The sentences should be short and clear.
The fplowing would be wrong as a preview:
"I'll talk about how I use Drift and Zoho Sheet."
Instead, you should write something like this:
"I'll talk about how the integration of Drift and Zoho Sheet makes marketing teams more efficient."
The body of your article is where you're going to talk about the main idea. It contains supporting points to support the main idea. Each supporting point should be connected with one another logically to make sure that your whpe article is consistent. You should also make sure that you give enough evidence to support each point. The body should not be longer than three paragraphs. Since you are talking about one main idea, you shouldn't write too much information in your article. One paragraph per supporting point would be enough.
You also need outline or schema for each paragraph. It will help you to organize your thoughts well before you start writing the first draft of your article. The outline should be simple, but detailed enough to guide you through each paragraph. To make it easy for you, we've created a sample outline schema for you below:
