Integration of Drift and Xero

Xero and Drift can be integrated to help businesses provide quality customer service as well as optimize advertising spending. With the integration of Drift into Xero, users can opt-in to receive customer service via a chatbot within the Xero app.

Drift’s chatbot can provide updates about the business or respond to frequently asked questions via text or voice. The chatbot can also send receipts for online purchases, answer questions about online orders, or schedule future appointments. For example, if a user tries to pay with Apple Pay and accidentally hits the wrong button, he/she can ask Drift’s chatbot for help by sending a message through Xero. The chatbot will then confirm with the user that the payment was canceled and ask whether the payment should be made again. While Drift is integrated into Xero, the user will be able to communicate with Drift using Xero’s interface and vice versa. If a business decides to use the inbox top in Xero, the messages received will go through Xero’s interface but will be filtered by Drift. For example, a customer might send a message saying that his/her flight was delayed due to weather conditions and ask whether there would be any refunds offered. The message would come up in Xero’s inbox as a regular email but would be tagged as coming from Drift so that the business owner could quickly respond to it.
